Scientists have uncovered a vast donut-shaped structure buried thousands of miles beneath our feet.
Researchers from the Australian National University used seismic waves generated by earthquakes to peer into the Earth's mysterious molten core.
By tracing the path of these waves through the planet, the researchers found a region a few hundred kilometres thick where they travelled two per cent slower than normal.

Leaving it alone would be the smartest thing. But we all know how this stuff goes. Someone will try to monetize it, for the good of all mankind (themself), and taxes will go up, travel will be banned ( except for politicians, rich guys, etc), speeches will be made, someone will write a dumb song that makes stupid people cry, dogs and cats will live together, and we will become more miserable for all of it.
But I guess we could hope.

Lol. When I was a teenager in Torrance, Ca the Dunkin Donuts on Pacific Coast Hwy had at least two Torrance cop cars in front of it no matter what time of the day or night you drove by.

I put in some time at DD making donuts in my youth.
We had a lot of cops hanging around, because the manager gave them free coffee. The waitresses were nice, too, so it was normal to see at least one cruiser parked in the lot, nearly all the time.
The place was never robbed even once.
