Walmart has recalled nearly 10,000 cases of apple juice sold in stores across the U.S. that were found to contain potentially harmful levels of inorganic arsenic.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration gave the recall a more urgent classification Friday after making its original announcement Aug. 15. The new classification said the affected product may temporarily cause adverse health consequences but is unlikely to cause serious or irreversible medical issues.

Good point.
“I think there’s more to this story.
Just a hunch.”
Ok. Do you... have a suspicion or theory you’d like to share?
My first thought is China is involved.
It’s a logical assumption.
That said, if anyone cares, there are three AWESOME apple tree varieties you can grow (you need two apples, any kind, or a crab apple tree as a pollinator, wild or decorative) that are SPRAY-LESS which means you don't have to dink around with spraying, can stay organic and you'll still get decent fruit.
They are 'Liberty' (I have 2), 'Freedom' and 'Enterprise' and they are terrific. About 10' tall when grown, semi-dwarf. Mine produced in their third year. Good for pies, applesauce, dehydrating or fresh eating.
Thanks!
We don’t drink the juice, except for cider, but every fall we visit farmers markets for apples to store.
They taste so much better than the ones in the grocery stores.
They really do taste better! I take Mom every fall to our local orchard - we never buy any apples, I have PLENTY - but we love the homemade Cider and the Cider donuts. A yearly treat. And the next farm over grows every kind of pumpkin and squash imaginable, so that’s a fun stop, too.
Cider making is on our list of additional skills to learn. Beau’s hunting gets in the way of a lot of MY plans, but I know he has actual printed plans to build a Cider Press in the future. ;)
I wondered what that extra kick in the juice was.... : )
So it’s just the 8 oz. bottles? That’s good - I drink it but I buy the 64 oz. bottles.
