A New Jersey Transit bus driver has been arrested for allegedly pummeling a straphanger and putting him in a chokehold in a caught-on-camera attack after the passenger apparently spat on him mid-route.
The driver, Toron Walker, was nabbed after the violent altercation with the male passenger erupted on a crowded bus in Newark on Friday afternoon, RLS Media reported.
Footage of the ordeal allegedly showed the driver pinning the male passenger down to one of the seats by his neck before slamming him down in the middle of the aisle.

I’d stand up for the driver.

Punishment administered by the bus driver appears reasonable for a passenger spitting.
Perhaps the passenger will think twice before trying it again.

The driver is probably just a normal guy doing his job to pay bills like everyone else. The problem is the rot in his town is getting on his nerves. Having a low life spit on him was likely the straw that broke the camel’s back.
I’d like to be a juror in his trial for I would insist on not guilty.
There are good people in NYC, I see many of them voting Trump, that’s many of them that formerly voted rat. Another Rudolph Giuliani would be a Godsend.

That's what I'm thinking. Day after day, year after year, having to put up with scummy people, a little added tension lately from something else going on in your life, and some people just snap.
Headline says “spitting”. I imagined the perpetrator spitting on the floor. That is very different from “spitting on him” (on the bus driver.)
“Toron Walker” sounds like a Star Wars character’s name ... like a distant cousin of Luke Skywalker.
He got spat on by the punk.

Right. Spitting on someone is a criminal act, an assault. And in some ways, it could be worse than being punched. Lots of folks out there with lots of diseases.
