Allowing women to vote was the great mistake,
Prove me wrong.
The elimination of literacy testing was far more damaging.
I am a woman and want an intelligent, strong, Christian man as our leader. I don’t want men on welfare who refuse to work to continue to receive it. Not women who continue to have countless babies to be able to receive a dime more! I want this country to drill for its own oil. I want abortion done away with. Is that a disaster?
I agree. Where I live almost 85% of the local budget ( and most of the budget is is schools) is paid for with real estate taxes and mainly residential taxes while less than 50% of the residents own homes/property.
Thank you.
I was single for a long time. I never voted for a Democrat (unless you count the time I voted for Ross Perot - which, unfortunately, gave us the Clinton creep...)
Agreed. There are some exceptions, like my mother, wife and daughter, who all vote conservative, but most women vote based on emotions and gut feelings, rather than a rational examination of the facts, and a knowledge of how business or foreign affairs work. I don’t give a damn what anyone says to me, I know this to be true for most (70%+ of women). Just look at how they vote - almost never for a strong candidate, but rather for someone to be a substitute daddy or husband who will take care of them. It destroys our financial situation and leaves us weak in comparison to our adversaries.
There’s bitching about any group that doesn’t vote the way you want.
This entire thread is about that.
Got to come to terms with the fact that the civil rights movement, the voting rights acts, the right for equal access, etc are all part of the same thing. Attempting to guarantee the rights of every citizen.
Get the vote by earning it. Not by diminishing, insulting or disenfranchising the groups who don’t buy the message.
LBJ was a total a-hole and racist? No kidding?
I’m sure the blacks of today appreciate you speaking for them. 👍
Not all single women vote Democrat, although it seems to be mostly true for college-educated single women.
And yet, women elect the leaders in all of these adversary countries too.
How many countries are there left in the world, which still don’t allow women to vote?
Not necessarily. First, probably at least until the 1960s, women tended to vote as their husbands did. Since that time, between not getting married in the first place and divorce being far more common, there has been a rise in single cat ladies.
Yup. I’m a widow, helped my husband run his business for 20+ years (he was self employed all that time), conservative, and own 240 acres. I could potentially still vote. Cool!
“The nature of woman is dependency. In marriage, she is dependent on her husband.”
The trouble is, women voted to create a government that replaced a man so that their needs would be met while they lived a life of self-centered, self-indulgence.
They have killed their own children by the millions so they could keep the party going and have set America on a path of demographic suicide.
Women make the future of mankind possible, and the women of modern western civilization have made our future bleak.
This entire thread is about that.
You may think that, but if you even barely understand my very simple points, then you know I'm bitching about end result of how and why groups don't vote the way I want.
Have I not mentioned the right to vote the rats want to give non-citizens and how wrong that is?
I think even you should bitch about that, don't you?
That ad is enough to make most men purchase a bottle of hard liquor.....right away!
Women are mostly unwise in big picture affairs, and in many cases suicidal and stupid.
” I even say that all voters should be land owners. Have skin in the game.”
I go along with Heinlein’s idea that military service (not necessarily in a war) be required to vote.
Not unless they'd like to sleep on the couch for the rest of their lives.
I like the idea of land, or at least home owners voting. About 15 years ago my county built a new school. Many millions of dollars which meant raising our property taxes, of course. Many of us land owners voted NO, don’t build. Yet it passed. So...low and behold RENT went through the roof in some place, and up everywhere so the folks who owned the apartments could compensate the jump in tax rates. Take a wild guess who complained? Figure it out yet? Yah, the renters. Why? Because the rich apartment owners can “afford it”. Ugh! Can not win for losing in this fight.
That is how every single rat votes, male and female. The problem is not xx vs xy, it is using the brain to sift vs emotion. This is not unique to women.
Good point. A voting citizen should have a stake in the country, and owning property is a good sign of that stake.
But I’m waiting to hear if others agree or not.
I agree. Your points are simple.
They’re just inconsistent and squeezed through a lens that allows you to remove inconvenient facts to get to a predetermined result.
And even though you’re attempting to change the subject, I agree. Non citizens should not vote.
But this entire thread is about taking away over 50% of US citizen”s right to vote with a bunch of replies taking it up even higher.
So cmon here.
