This year all 32 NFL teams will start using facial recognition to verify the identity of people entering the stadium.
This is a clip that was posted recently on the Dallas Cowboys website. It shows how easy it is to identify someone in these large crowds.
VIDEO AT LINK......................
Just wait until it’s made mandatory at all business venues......................
Security...................
And by the way, that picture was not taken by an acquaintance sitting somewhere. That was a company associated with the stadium/football team taking that picture and putting it up on a website so you could look at it if you wished.
What company was that? I don’t remember. But that is the point. It doesn’t matter if it is a company or the government doing it. The two are doing things like this hand in hand.
then i’ll wear a veil and claim its a religious thing and threaten to sue of they make me take it off.
Sure.
Like I trust our government to keep terrorists out.
Next comes the “no face coverings” rule...
Yes. The announcement said that the ‘data’ would not be used outside the stadium.
Riiiight, and if anybody actually believes that, they will sell you a bridge in NYC..................
I have long-suspected that Walmart has facial recognition
Had heard the rumor as well
So wear a baseball cap, a covid mask, and eyeglasses. I have read that facial recognition does not work well with black people. Whites and paleface Asians are out of luck.
“Facial recognition technology has been shown to have significant issues with accurately identifying Black people, particularly those with darker skin tones. This bias in facial recognition systems has several important implications”

No, it's about unreasonable searches. Are you required to have your photo taken to walk on a sidewalk? enter a library? enter a museum? shop in a store? vote?
Yet the NFL is requiring you give up rights in order to enter a building that YOU paid for.
A korporation carrying out the orders of government oppression is the definition of fascism.
Maybe that's a 'feature' not a 'bug'!...................
Nope. Surveillance photos have long been accepted as not a search. If you’re face is out it’s available for pictures as long as they’re not publishing for profit. As for your list: yes, yes, yes, yes, and if the building the voting is happening in has surveillance yes.
NFL isn’t requiring you give up anything. You have no right to not be surveilled in somebody else’s property. Every sports stadium in the country has had surveillance cameras for DECADES. Welcome to the party pal.
Except it's not just out in public. You're being required to show it in order to pass.
You have no right to not be surveilled in somebody else’s property...
Except it's also YOUR property.
Every sports stadium in the country has had surveillance cameras for DECADES. Welcome to the party pal.
But didn't require surveilling your face it get IN to the stadium. Previously, you could show up with your face painted, your "dogpound" mask, etc. See the difference, pal?
That’s out in public.
It’s NOT my property. As I already showed, just because they get public funding does NOT make the building public property.
Yes they actually do. Because the first place security cameras go is on all doors. You can STILL show up with your face painted and mask on. For one thing keep in mind that these facial recognition system are going on the SECURITY doors, the stuff you need special access passes to get to. For another, they’ve always been able to ask you to take the mask off during entry. THEIR PROPERTY THEIR RULES.
Really none of this is new. It’s just faster now. Security cameras have been on most commercial buildings since the 70s. When web cams became cheap they got on a lot of houses, and city run vehicles. You literally can’t go out of your house without landing on somebody’s camera. Your neighbor’s ring, that convenience store’s door camera, or gas pump cameras, that city bus’ driving camera.
You’re 50 years TOO LATE. The cows left the barn in the 50s. In the 90s the barn burned down. We live in security camera land now. Deal with it. Or become a Mountain Man I guess... Of course we take satellite pictures of almost everything these days, so even Jeremiah Johnson gets his picture taken.
It’s definitely not a rumor. If you try and search the name of the facial recognition system used you get an error.
As for living in security camera land now...
Enjoy your Soma.
"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."
― Samuel Adams
The rest of us recognize this is a Free Republic.
Correct title should be every fan entering the stadiums. They are not going into your TV to do facial Rec. Not Yet.
They ARE their property. “sports and exposition authorities” means NOTHING, that’s just you making crap up. And yes actually other than the Packers they ARE privately owned. And even selling stock (which might or might not be owned by the citizens of Green Bay) it’s still a PRIVATE COMPANY.
You’re basically just throwing random words in a temper tantrum. Out here in REALITY security cameras exist. Limited access exists. Private companies are allowed to have them. Even if they take government subsidies. Even if they’re publicly traded. Even if you don’t like it.
Even in a free republic people and companies are still allowed security. And control of access. Just look at how many people have been banned from this board. Access control still exists on and in Free Republic.
I take it you post the same on DU.
I take it by your need to go personal that you realize none of the facts back you. Therefore you know you’re wrong. But are unwilling to admit it.
