If I have time to figure it out I will post this on the regular prayer thread but I’m on my phone right now.
My mom (94) is on hospice and the hospice nurse says she has a week to 10 days. ( She is in some pain but has stopped communicating. I take her hand and she smiles and when I do that.) They have ordered some meds but they won’t be here until tonight - she is in the nursing home.
I don’t know how to pray about this - just asking the Lord to take away her pain and let the angels be there to great her, along with her parents and brothers.

That’s a good prayer. I’ll join you in praying for a peaceful and painless passing for her, and as much comfort as you can find in your memories of shared love and a great life with her.

Hold her hand and talk to her as long as she is here.
Talk about things you did growing up, your favorite memories, favorite recipes she made, fun time, Christmas, etc. And pray out loud with her. Their hearing is the last to go.
When my Mom was dying, I asked the nurse if I could hold her at the end.
She said honey, if you can do it, you surely can.
I did and never regretted it.
I took Hospice training and used to work with AIDS patients, after a while it got to be too much as I could see them deteriorate and they never wanted me to leave.
