The assassin who tried to kill POTUS DJT had skills as evidenced by the grouping of shots he fired from 130 yards or more with an AR. Where did he get these skills and who helped prepare him for this?

130 yards isn’t much. I was picking off targets at 150 in boot camp at 18years old having never shot a gun prior to that.
I am not a great shot but placing a shot within 6 inches from 130 to 200 yards with a rifle is within my abilities, and probably could get close to that without a scope using my ,223 mini-14. Indeed, I would wager that the shooter was in experienced and pulled his shot to the left because he jerked the trigger. A novice mistake.
I’ve BEEN concerned about his safety.
He needs to learn skydiving. His plane will mysteriously malfunction.
He needs someone around him with a Geiger counter. They will try to introduce radiologicals.
He needs a food taster. Poisoning is likely.

Some preliminary reports (which well might change) say the shooter used a 22 LR rifle. If that’s actually the case, then 130 yards is something. And it points to an amateur, at least to me.

Why would you hunt with a 30-30. I have one and I love it but when I hunt, I use a 308.

From what I recall you can site an AR in at 50 yards and it’s accurate out to 300 because the 5.56 nato shoots flat.
