When I was a Masters student in Liverpool in 1996, I deliberately walked the long way into the city centre from university every day.

It wasn’t superstition or paranoia. It was because I longed to experience the infamous Bold Street Time Slip.

A handful of people claim to have been strolling down this gently sloping thoroughfare only to be suddenly transported back to the 1950s.

“ . Usually, moving forward, they listen.”

They listen until you meet someone new who does not know of your abilities- then it’s I told you so time again.

There’s been a few times where something told me not to do something or go somewhere. The times I didn’t listen, bad things happened.

That sounds like the inspiration for the British comedy series "Goodnight, Sweetheart." A 1980s guy turns into a side street in London and finds himself back in 1940. Time travel is a trusty premise in entertainment, and the British love WWII, so why not?
