When I was a Masters student in Liverpool in 1996, I deliberately walked the long way into the city centre from university every day.
It wasn’t superstition or paranoia. It was because I longed to experience the infamous Bold Street Time Slip.
A handful of people claim to have been strolling down this gently sloping thoroughfare only to be suddenly transported back to the 1950s.

I have never taken drugs. And never have more than one drink on a weeknight.
What a day for a daydream...
What a day for a daydreaming boy.....
If I could travel back in time I would change some of my decisions
With a bit of a mind flip you’re into the time slip
and nothing will ever be the same
your spaced out on sensation
like your under sedation
let’s do the time warp again

Yep. One night I was all alone at our home in Ga and was getting ready for bed. We didn’t have curtains as we lived on a farm and our nearest neighbor was 1/4 mile away. I remember walking to the bed, able to see clearly because of the brightness of the moonlight. I pulled back the covers and was getting ready to get between the covers when out of nowhere, I heard music (from the 1930’s-40’s), crystal glasses clinking, silverware scraping across bone china (I served my clients on fine bone china - you can hear the difference) and people murmuring and quietly laughing. I went from room to room and the noise would lessen where I was headed and get louder behind me. I was absolutely in the middle of a dinner party from a long time ago. I checked every single radio and television throughout the house and in the basement and nothing was on. It stopped when I turned on the lights.
This is the style of music I heard but no one was singing, it was just instrumental:

After that, I slept with the lights on for six months.
There’s no such thing as a time slip, but there are such things as memories of something read about or seen in pictures/videos, etc., occuring out of nowhere. And, of course, there are delusions.
Go buy a couple bottles of Jim Beam. In a few days you won’t know where/when you are.
Someone had this same vision of walking friars, in a church as I remember it, but they were only visible from about the chest up. When he told a local person about it, wondering about both the vision and the distortion, the person said yes that’s because the church used to be several feel lower.
I wish I could remember where I read this.
same, will buy crypto and then close position to buy nvda
We also know that there is really nothing "solid" - everything consists of energy fields.
So where the heck are we? No time, no "solid" objects?
"For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible....All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
Colossians 1:16-17
and then a step to the right.
Put your hands on your hips.
and bring your knees in tight!.
But its the pelvic thrust.
That really drives you insane.
Lets do the time warp again!
All of this — the article you posted, and some of the FReeper experiences described here — is just more proof we live in a simulation, and sometimes the simulation glitches.
I read that one too. England. Some extremely old church or castle that had been added onto over the centuries.
I have never slipped back in time
however I have slipped forward more than once
Brigadoon, man. Brigadoon.
Happens to me every time I go to Milwaukee. Suddenly I feel like I’ve been transported back to the 1950s again.
