Because hes no joke. There's nothing funny about Joe. The man is a seriously depressing epic tragedy unfolding before the world and terrifying to watch. And not just for America but for the whole world to see the "leader of the free world" charade game playing out in DC.

Reminds me when Obama was elected and the late night talk show guys would not joke about him for almost a year. There was tons of low hanging material left on the tree.
Well said. There’s not much about him that is funny, but there is plenty to mock.

Tom Shillue does Biden — rather well. SNL has also had Biden impersonators — who weren’t very good. Late night talk show hosts all support Biden, and even if they did still book impressionists, they don’t want Joe being mocked, any more than they would tolerate jokes at Obama’s expense.
Impressions aren’t as big a thing as they were 40 years ago, or even 20 years ago. Some people do Trump. Some did Bush. Key and Peele had an Obama routine. But nobody is famous for being a copy cat in the way that Rich Little or Frank Gorshin were. Dana Carvey, Billy Crystal, and Darrell Hammond have all moved on. Phil Hartman has moved a lot further on.
How do you parody a farce?

Nobody impersonates Biden, but Biden impersonates Walter, Jeff Dunham’s dummy. And he’s good at it!
Tom Shallue’s impersonating is spot on.
