Archaeology: Egyptian pyramids built along long-lost Ahramat branch of the Nile

31 pyramids in Egypt, including the Giza pyramid complex, may originally have been built along a 64-km-long branch of the river Nile which has long since been buried beneath farmland and desert. The findings, reported in a paper in Communications Earth & Environment, could explain why these pyramids are concentrated in what is now a narrow, inhospitable desert strip...

Sedimentary evidence suggests that the Nile used to have a much higher discharge, with the river splitting into several branches in places. Researchers have previously speculated that one of these branches may have flown by the pyramid fields, but this has not been confirmed.

Eman Ghoneim and colleagues studied satellite imagery to find the possible location of a former river branch running along the foothills of the Western Desert Plateau, very near to the pyramid fields. They then used geophysical surveys and sediment cores to confirm the presence of river sediments and former channels beneath the modern land surface, indicating the presence of a former branch, which they propose naming 'Ahramat' (meaning 'pyramids' in Arabic). The authors suggest that an increased build-up of windblown sand, linked to a major drought which began approximately 4,200 years ago, could be one of the reasons for the branch's migration east and eventual silting up.

The discovery may explain why these pyramid fields were concentrated along this particular strip of desert near the ancient Egyptian capital of Memphis, as they would have been easily accessible via the river branch at the time they were built. Additionally, the authors found that many of the pyramids had causeways which ended at the proposed riverbanks of the Ahramat branch, which they suggest is evidence the river was used for transporting construction materials.

I can’t believe this was ever a question, it is a no brainer. Every river cuts new channels and perpetually changes course back and forth across it’s flood plane from bank to bank. This is why they meander and don’t flow in a straight line. How could anyone even assume the course has always been the same? It is impossible.

Boy, good thing that's not Hebrew, where the "v" is a "b".

De Nile is not just a river.

It has many dried up tributaries, to chamber denial. This stuff really torques people off. Maybe some are repelled by the very first pun so I'm already in hot water, but whatever. Gotta live a little:

Serach knew the mysteries that were hidden deep in De Nile. It's certainly not just any river in Egypt:

Joseph makes his brothers swear that they will bring his bones from Egypt to be buried in the land of Canaan (Genesis 50:25). The Midrash relates that Moses addressed himself to Serach when he wished to learn where the remains of Joseph were to be buried. Without Joseph's bones, the Israelites could not leave Egypt, so the Pharaoh had Egyptians put him in a lead coffin and had it cast into an underground flooded chamber the Nile. This was an attempt to prevent the Israelites ever leaving Egypt.

Only Serach was still alive to remember exactly where to find Joseph's bones as she had seen the Egyptians place the coffin in the Nile at the time and the rest of the generation had since died out.[6] According to the Midrash,[7] Serach was "the wise woman" who caused the death of Sheba ben Bichri.[8]

Serach bat Asher

Serach bat Asher was the ultimate "Search" lady. So many traditions are out there regarding SERACH BAT ASHER, a woman of great age.

Annagrams, such as:

ATBASH SEARCHER
ATBASH RESEARCH

She keeps Anagram Server ever busy. 377 [= "גִּיד הַנָּשֶׁה"] results just with the inclusion of REHAB, beginning with this one:

REHAB CATHARSES

Plural of catharsis:

Catharsis is from the Ancient Greek word κάθαρσις, katharsis, meaning "purification" or "cleansing".

It is most commonly used today to refer to the purification and purgation of thoughts and emotions by way of expressing them. The desired result is an emotional state of renewal and restoration.[1][2]

"Lead coffin"...

Which reminds me that it could be a heavy metal type of storage cabinet, or the one out front and center, leading the big PaRaDe.

See what I mean? Full circle, stubborn as a mule [פרד].

(aron [ארון] = Ark, cabinet, coffin in Egypt..)

"At the end of the fight, the angel strikes a nerve..."

(It's the simple meaning. 😇)

De Nile... because who can possibly keep up with all the changes? People then devote themselves to the safety and security of the bureaucracy. Generational paralysis!

Meanwhile, as seen in that article linked above, because its about the Swedish speakers...

Imagine what people could do with a Swedish Key? Shifty business.

That's the Hebrew name for it: מפתח שוודי

Swedish... Shaddai [שדי] with a hook inside [וו]. Catchy.

Again, full circle because an EZ Key is an "El" key:

"The tool is usually held and twisted by its long arm.."

And,

As we have already seen, early on Joseph is linked to the fulfillment of Jacob's legacy...

At the outset, the Torah connects Jacob with Joseph. Of all his sons specifically

Joseph holds the key

to not only Jacob's but the family's ission.

>>>

We see a pattern developing. When God blesses the patriarchs with many descendants, the name of God employed is Shadai.

Joseph From the Kabbalistic Perspective

It's a burning bush out there, drawing Moths to flame:

Setaceous Hebrew character

Yeah but which one of those... nuns is the "setaceous" Hebrew character? It's left for the reader to decide which one strikes a nerve. According to the meaning of the word, Esau is the bristly one. Yet he was favored by Isaac for his hunting ability. A parent favoring one child over another.. it's generally considered a bad habit. When nuns go bad, they end up back-to-back:

׆ נ

In this day and age, it seems like so many "People of the Book"ends are exasperated and vexed, and begging for the Messiah to appear, when the key is to cry "Uncle" [דוד].

BTW, catharsis [κάθαρσις] = 541 = Israel [ישראל].

It *all* adds up.. for what's in the name "Joseph":

"The LORD shall add to me another son." ~ Rachel, aka the Mother of All Israel.

Rachel means ewe, so I suspect there's one more little one out in the field to round up.

Then she'll know that she can stop crying.

Not even close. There is zero, nada, no evidence of a culture that old capable of building the sphinx. I suppose you also believe in flying pyramids.

Interesting indeed. “Cadman’s testing demonstrated that the pulse rate can be altered … between sixty and eighty pulses per minute.” Perhaps it sounded like a giant beating heart.

You want to make it personal, but I'm a much better person than you.

The Sphinx as we see it today, with the dressing blocks and the recarved head, is a mixture of very ancient erosional features. The massive stones of the Sphinx and Valley temples were quarried right out of the Sphinx enclosure, and then the walls of both the enclosure and the temples were exposed to rain for thousands of years.

During or after the Old Kingdom the temples were excavated and their eroded faces refaced with stone brought from elsewhere.

The rear of the Sphinx was carved out well after the area in front, which means there were at least two phases of building.

IOW, the Sphinx is itself the evidence of predynastic culture capable of building in stone.

Take your abusive troll BS somewhere else.

There's a spot in one of the corners of the Sphinx enclosure that looks like water poured over it in a concentrated stream. That's not from the river, as the Giza plateau was chosen precisely because it remains above the Nile flood level. It's runoff from the rains off the plateau. The rest of the wall surfaces in the enclosure, plus the original temple walls, show the same rain-induced erosion.
Nothing combative or prejudicial in that wiki-wacky page:

That's the kind of ****ing by association that was done during the AAAS show trial.

The descending passage leading to the chamber in the bedrock doesn't appear to have anything to do with the eventual construction of Khufu's pyramid. It may have an abandoned or superseded effort to build a tomb, probably by an earlier ruler.

OTOH, the Giza monuments remained of great interest to later dynasties. The coffin in the third one, Menkaure, when entered in modern times, was found to contain a burial of New Kingdom date.

So-called Campbell's Tomb, which is a shaft cut down into the plateau behind the Sphinx enclosure was also made during the New Kingdom (and doesn't lead to secret treasure chambers, passages, or the like).

The recent-years discoveries of ancient excavations on the plateau appear to be of New Kingdom date. The Sphinx itself was dug out by order of Thutmose IV of the 18th Dynasty. He left the Dream Stele between its paws.

The recarving (or perhaps first carving) of the head probably took place during the 25th, Kushite dynasty, which would explain the African features. That dynasty also really liked the Sphinx imagery, and pharaohs of that dynasty had sphinx versions of themselves carved and displayed around Egypt.

Most of the pyramids were hydraulic ram pumps that elevated the water flowing from the causeways to about 2/3 the height of the pyramid and the water flowed west to irrigate farm lands. The wooden structures are no longer there.

I’ll admit, you could be a better person than me. I am not perfect and sometimes my emotions rule. My response was meant to illustrate that 10-15,000 year old sphinx theories are just as fringe as flying pyramids, put forward by afrocentrists. You don’t put forward any evidence other than saying the weathering itself is evidence of an older civilization.
A structure like the sphinx would require a regulated, large, complex society. Where are the buildings, records, etc?
I apologize for my comment.

I appreciate the apology, even though it was after you repeated the same baseless emotional response.

In answer, where are the buildings and written records for the Easter Island monuments? Rongorongo writing postdates the monument building. Where are the buildings and written records for Goblekli Tepe? The cave painters left runic characters (maybe artists' initials?) 15,000 and up years ago -- where are their buildings and other signs of regulated complex societies?

There's nothing about equating a predynastic Sphinx with flying pyramids (which btw, I don't think I'd ever heard of that one) that isn't just nasty.

The pyramids were built using an internal ramp system. That is still there, but as long as Zahi Hawass is still alive, they won’t be opened and examined.

Did the Egyptians create a canal and a port to bring stone to the Great Pyramid?

By Martin Finucane Globe Staff,October 6, 2017, 10:50 a.m.

A Boston-based archaeologist has developed a theory that the Egyptians delivered stone to the pyramids at Giza through a system of canals and harbors, shedding more light on the mystery of how ancient people — sorry, not aliens — built the massive structures....

Interesting new research and it is true, there would have to be a very cose source of abundant quantities of H2O......and then there were the gardens to water and irrigate to feed the slaves.
