1. Casu marzu, Italy

Sardinia is a beautiful island off the coast of Italy, and it’s known for its traditional foods. One of the most famous (or infamous) dishes is casu marzu, a cheese infested with live maggots. The maggots make the cheese so pungent and strong-tasting; some even say it’s an acquired taste.

If you’re feeling brave, try this maggot cheese for yourself – just be sure to remove the maggots before you eat it! Casu marzu means “rotten cheese” or “maggoty cheese,” depending on your translation preferences. Its name comes from its main ingredient—sheep’s milk—and its distinct texture: soft enough to spread on bread easily yet firm enough not to crumble under pressure.

I think I will take a pass on that, I wonder if the elites at Klaus's WEF have that with their wine, I doubt it.

I just stopped my eating cravings for the day!!!

Lutefisk I smelled once but it was turned to liquid before we could eat it, THANKFULLY!! I did enjoy the bread part, can’t remember the name.

The only thing I have enjoyed eating on the list are frog legs which were delicious in Mexico!

just be sure to remove the maggots before you eat it!

Only if you are a vegetarian. Otherwise enjoy the bonus protein.

I got Sardinia confused with Santorini. In 1600 B.C. a huge volcanic eruption destroyed many of the cites near the Mediterranean. It is probably where the legend of Atlantis got started because it completely destroyed the Minoan Civilization on Crete.

I've been to South Korea on business - they seem to think that ANYTHING you drag out of the ocean in a net is edible.

Not so. I tried to be a good sport about it, but some things are just not meant to be eaten by humans....

I’ve had quite of few of these or very similar dishes. Horse meat prepared in the Japanese style is delicious, but I’ve seen or heard of eating tuna eyes. Grasshoppers, wasps, ants - all good as toppings on rice.

Sannakji was so good (or bizarre) that it made the list twice. #2 and #14.

I would probably try cuy – a guinea pig. I like rabbit and squirrel so I think I would like cuy.

I’ve eaten most of the foods on that list, but I will definitely pass on the donkey penis sandwiches and roach milk...

I consider myself not to be a very picky eater, but this article has me rethinking that. I think there’s only 3 things from this list I would try:

1. Coypu Carpaccio
2. Springbok Brats
3. Camel Burger

The rest look absolutely revolting.

I tried lutefisk once at a local Swedish restaurant. It screwed up my stomach for a whole day.
I’m 20% Sardinian, and NO WAY will I ever try that crazy cheese! I am sure it’s not sold anywhere near me, anyway.

The ones that are an “aquired taste.”

What the heck? Who decided to just keep eating this until it tastes good?

My palate must be accustomed to stuff not that disgustingly revolting. A Camel burger is it, but they prolly dont have any bacon, if I was really hungry. Octopus is like eating rubber bands. None of this crap is anything what I would call food.

I used to watch Bizarre Foods all the time, it was entertaining. I would never eat over 90% of the things he put into his mouth.
