I just stopped my eating cravings for the day!!!
Lutefisk I smelled once but it was turned to liquid before we could eat it, THANKFULLY!! I did enjoy the bread part, can’t remember the name.
The only thing I have enjoyed eating on the list are frog legs which were delicious in Mexico!
Only if you are a vegetarian. Otherwise enjoy the bonus protein.
I got Sardinia confused with Santorini. In 1600 B.C. a huge volcanic eruption destroyed many of the cites near the Mediterranean. It is probably where the legend of Atlantis got started because it completely destroyed the Minoan Civilization on Crete.
Not so. I tried to be a good sport about it, but some things are just not meant to be eaten by humans....
I’ve had quite of few of these or very similar dishes. Horse meat prepared in the Japanese style is delicious, but I’ve seen or heard of eating tuna eyes. Grasshoppers, wasps, ants - all good as toppings on rice.
Is this the the Eat Sh1t and Die thread?
I’ve eaten most of the foods on that list, but I will definitely pass on the donkey penis sandwiches and roach milk...
They forgot Rocky Mountain Oysters which are bull testicles. I’ve had them and they are pretty good. Thy are usually fried.
I consider myself not to be a very picky eater, but this article has me rethinking that. I think there’s only 3 things from this list I would try:
1. Coypu Carpaccio
2. Springbok Brats
3. Camel Burger
The rest look absolutely revolting.
Wow, weird and bizarre in the same headline. I wonder why it hasn’t been tried before.
My palate must be accustomed to stuff not that disgustingly revolting. A Camel burger is it, but they prolly dont have any bacon, if I was really hungry. Octopus is like eating rubber bands. None of this crap is anything what I would call food.
Durian actually tastes good but this description of the smell is totally wrong - at least for me. Sweet smelling rotten garbage in trash bags on a New York City sidewalk would be more accurate. :)
But to me garlic smells like a squashed skunk by the side of the road, so my olfactory glands may be wired differently. :)
I have tried balutes during deployment to Cubi Point PI. Never again thanks very much.
Anything Indian!
Oh just joshing....wont try their food but love the good people among them all the same. Can’t imagine many would want to try my food and good on them for having standards!!!
We can love eavh other without having to BE each other!
Honey is bee vomit, eggs, caviar are half of some female reproduction, cheese, yogurt is rotten milk, wine is rotten grape juice. Kim chee is rotten cabbage, fish sauce is rotten fish...
The ,”if you are starving, eat this” diet.
I ate a sea bream eyeball last night and had horse meat last week . Camel and ostrich burgers are delish . Bought some crocodile fillets a few weeks ago but they are still in the freezer .
