Half of European men share King Tut's DNA (2011)

Up to 70 percent of British men and half of all Western European men are related to the Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamun, geneticists in Switzerland said.

Scientists at Zurich-based DNA genealogy center, iGENEA, reconstructed the DNA profile of the boy Pharaoh, who ascended the throne at the age of nine, his father Akhenaten and grandfather Amenhotep III, based on a film that was made for the Discovery Channel.

The results showed that King Tut belonged to a genetic profile group, known as haplogroup R1b1a2, to which more than 50 percent of all men in Western Europe belong, indicating that they share a common ancestor.

Among modern-day Egyptians this haplogroup contingent is below 1 percent, according to iGENEA. "It was very interesting to discover that he belonged to a genetic group in Europe -- there were many possible groups in Egypt that the DNA could have belonged to," said Roman Scholz, director of the iGENEA Center.

Around 70 percent of Spanish and 60 percent of French men also belong to the genetic group of the Pharaoh who ruled Egypt more than 3,000 years ago. "We think the common ancestor lived in the Caucasus about 9,500 years ago," Scholz told Reuters.

It is estimated that the earliest migration of haplogroup R1b1a2 into Europe began with the spread of agriculture in 7,000 BC, according to iGENEA. However, the geneticists were not sure how Tutankhamun's paternal lineage came to Egypt from its region of origin.

The Wikipedia article Genetic history of Egypt has a lot of information about the Y-DNA and mtDNA haplogroups in Egypt, both ancient and modern.

In general, the Egyptians are most similar to other Levantine (Middle Eastern) and North African peoples. Modern Egyptians appear to have 8% Sub-Saharan African DNA than ancient Egyptians (but some of the calculations are based on a small sample of ancient mummies).

This has become politicized in this country because a lot of people, especially black Americans, claim that the ancient Egyptians were black. In this country anyone with known sub-Saharan African ancestry is considered black (Hispanics excepted), even if it's half or less than half of their ancestry. Egypt was a transitional country--probably we would have seen a lot of people we would consider black in that sense but also a lot of people we would consider white.

A Roman official in Jerusalem mistook St. Paul for an Egyptian--so to him Egyptians were not necessarily black.

Prince Philip was from the Greek royal family (he was born on Corfu), but that family was mostly German. I don’t know if he had any genuine Greek ancestors.

No. The producers and writers met with the scientists and wrote the script based on what the scientists told them.

Queen Elizabeth’s mother was the daughter of a Scot Chieftain.

Yes, it is entertaining. Even Santa Claus was black and according to Google's AI so were the Vikings, Irish, and Nazis along with George Washington, and many other founding fathers.

People have been migrating around the world since the ice ages.

Maybe, if it keeps getting warmer we all will move north to Edmonton, Calgary and Labrador. All the decendents of the people on Martha’s Vineyard will be fighting over Ocean Front property on Greenland and Newfoundland.

If you think about it, we all have a genetic connection, unless of course you are an atheist.

Egypt, which was mostly Christian by AD 600, was overrun and conquered by Arab Muslims.

Remnants of original Egyptian genetics would be found among the Christian Copt minority in Egypt.

Queen Elizabeth’s ancestor James VI&I was a king of Scotland (but the Stuarts were of Norman origin).

Apparently the DNA of Egyptian Copts and of Egyptian Muslims is pretty similar...which indicates that the Muslims are generally descended from Christians who converted at some point in the past. After the Muslim conquest there were some Arab settlers (Fustat) but they were a very small minority of the total population.

So if someone becomes an atheist, it changes his DNA?

No, if someone is an atheist, they don’t believe we came from two people, you know, that creation thing.

People have been migrating around the world since the ice ages.

The last ice age ended just 10,000 years ago. People were migrating around the world long before that. The fossil record seems to indicate that Homo sapiens were found first in Africa. Australia was inhabited by people 48,000–50,000 years ago. People had already found their way to North America between 16,000 and 25,000 years ago... some think even before that. South America seems to have been inhabited between 12,000 to 14,000 years ago.

It is interesting that even from times where forms of written communication already existed that there is still confusion about the history of populated areas. The Greeks began expanding their influence approximately 750 BC. Alexander the Great was born approximately 365 BC, Cleopatra was born approximately 69 BC, the Roman Empire existed between 31 BC – AD 476 and Genghis Khan was born approximately AD 1167.

How little will future generations remember about our civilization? We now appear to be in rapid decline by many historic measures. "Climate Change" is the least of our worries.

Half of European men share King Tut’s DNA

That makes perfect sense. He was born in Arizona and moved to Babylonia.

The pharaohs didn't drown or disappear. They dispersed through the practice of prima nocta.

The DNA of these Nephilim descendants, the ancient mason world builder/conquerors and human

oppressors is mostly concentrated in today's globalist elite.

Or, that part of the royal lineage was European and not part of the wider populace.

Yes, it is interesting that the world was so concerned about over population in the late 1960s-1970s. When the book The Population Bomb came out.

Now, we are seeing the collapse of countries because their birth rate is so low. Already happening in South Korea, Japan, Italy and China. Peter Zeihan has been preaching about it for several years as the main cause of the downfall of China.

The only difference between the US, Italy, Spain, GB and China is that people from other countries actually want to move to Spain, Italy, GB and the USA.

I have been trying to convince Mrs Woodbutcher for two years now about moving/retiring to Italy. Even places in Tuscany are becoming affordable. Southern Italy is cheap. Even places right on the coast of the Med/Adriatic are cheap in the southern part of the country.
