Lions almost made it.
I wish they would drop "San Francisco" from their name. They play in Santa Clara, which is 40 miles away from San Francisco, but culturally, the difference is like a billion light years.
And the “Dallas” Cowboys haven’t played in Dallas since 1970.
I listen to baseball and football on the radio. I can imagine the game going on in my head. Plus with the 10 or so second delay, when a big play happens, I run into the house to watch it happen. You get a lot more done listening than sitting on the couch watching.
I wouldn’t want to be Dan Campbell right now... Or be anywhere near him.
The electricity went out on Motown Avenue.
“Olson talks constantly without saying anything.”
We watched the game tonight, cheering for the Lions. I kept saying to Beau, ‘WTF did THAT GUY just say? What did I miss on that play?!?!”
LOL!
Small consolation but at least it wasn’t Joe Buck calling the game tonight!
Game was fixed.
Many of us in Orange County, Calif. resent the name “Los Angeles Angels.” They play in Anaheim, which most certainly ain’t LA.
Almost nobody plays where they say they’re from. The New York teams play in New Jersey. The LA teams play in Englewood. And the Tampa Bay teams plays on land. Whole bunch of geographic lies in sports.
And the Oscar for Dumbest goes to…
I think Campbell gets too caught up in his emotions.
NFL no longer produces pro football. They now produce Sports Entertainment.
From your lips to God’s ears. Go Chiefs!
Maybe so, but Olsen is for sure in second place if not in a tie with Buck. They’re both awful.
Inglewood, Calif. is close enough, just over the line from LA, and I believe you can see the skyscrapers in Manhattan from the stadia where the "New York" teams play. However, Anaheim is 30 miles from LA and the cultural gap is far wider.
My 49ers were terrible for the first half - just terrible. Defense was lousy - I heard a commentator say the Lions were averaging 7 yards a carry. They woke up in the second, Purdy did enough and McCaffrey continued to excel. But this ain’t a team that’s going to beat the Chiefs, much as I hate admit it. When I was young I used to think how much it must have sucked for the Bengals to keep coming to the Super Bowl to get beaten by Joe Montana. I expect we’ll be experiencing that at the hands of Patrick Mahomes.
And they cater to the female audience.
It will be hard to watch, so I’m definitely considering having alternate plans.
I couldn't agree more.
It's fine to be aggressive during the regular season.
No time to get cute in the Championship game.
Dan Campbell wanted to show everyone he had the "guts" to go for it, but there's playing aggressive and playing smart.
A head coach has to know about momentum and why his stupid decisions cost that.
To beat an explosive team like the 49ers, you keep them off the field.
You don't hand them a golden opportunity to mount a comeback.
Example: see Tom Brady
Take the points!
