The King Arthur Baking Company is hosting a competition for bakeries and the winner gets a lot of dough.
It’s called “Baking Pitchfest 2024.” Winners get mentorship from other bakers and financial support for their bakeries.
It sounds like a great opportunity for the pastry and pie crowd. But there’s just one catch. *No white people are allowed to enter the competition.*
Only bakeries that are owned by persons of color are allowed to participate.

I do not support companies that discriminate against people because of their skin colour, religion, ethnicity or race.
Your act of racial discriminates to not allow people of European descent, because of their skin colour causes me to not want to purchase any of your products now or in the future.

Non-white customers should be angry. This company basically is telling them they can’t compete successfully against white people which is patently absurd.
And King Arthur was most certainly a white guy. So they need to relocate AND change the name of their company.
