Neither the United States nor its space agency NASA have so far commented on the AI analysis that questioned the Moon Landing by the American astronauts.
[Google AI anslysis found that the U.S. Moon photos are fake, but thought images captured by Chines lunar rover are fine.]
Moscow: The analysis of some of the photos and images of the U.S. astronauts landing on the Moon using neural networks showed they are fake, Vladimir Putin was told at “Artificial Intelligence World Tour" in Moscow, and the Russian President found it interesting.
The video of the analysis result and conversation of the Russian President with the Data Research Department of Sberbank, Nikolai Gerasimhen, at the Moscow AI event is now viral.
“It (neural networks) thinks almost everything in this photo is fake”, Gerasimhen is heard explaining to Putin in the video shared by the Russian news agency, Sputnik, which is now being widely shared on different social media platforms.
At the same time the AI analysis did not find any fault with the photos captured by Chinese lunar rover.
“Meanwhile it (the AI analysis) raises no particular questions about this photo taken by a Chinese lunar rover”, Putin is told.
China's unmanned lunar mission named Chang’e is a series of lunar probes launched by the China National Space Administration starting with the launch of Chang’e 1 in October 2007.
“It believes this one is fake?” Putin is seen in the video first touching the wing of his nose and then asking after a brief pause while pointing at the Apollo 11 images displayed on a screen.
“Yes. Look this is red", Putin was told.
Sberbank President German Gref who is seen accompanying Putin in the video then said, "This is what Google’s neural network thinks, not our analysis…”

I totally agree, we WENT TO THE MOON, we would have lunar bases there now if the government didn’t switch priorities from the Space Program to social programs. Everything is still up there. Someday they’ll find out.

All AI starts with one line of code, created by a human. Every bit thereafter is controlled by biases of the coding entity. Garbage in still equals garbage out.

I personally know an Astronaut. He walked on the Moon. He is a geologist. He still lives in NM. I lived in the same town with him. His mother was a friend of my wife at church. My wife volunteered to help in his re-election campaign for Senate.
I’ve been a Ham Radio operator for 45 years (Extra Class and hold GROL Commercial). I listened to the up/down links the the Apollo Missions on the local Ham repeater via the Cactus Net, from CA to NM. It was neat to set a handi talkie on the table in a restaurant and see the looks on people faces as JPL broadcast it live.
I knew a lot of engineers and several physicists who worked at the labs in NM. (WSMAR, RATSCAT, Holloman AFB, Kirkland AFB , NMSU, ++)
Me family (here in Texas) had a local friend who worked for NASA in Houston for many many years.
There is no question that there are animated illustrations in some cases for illustration on NASA websites for explanations. But the missions were real and the astronauts actually went where they say they did. I have a lot of Apollo memorabilia that I bought at a Republican Party Auction where I lived in NM.

Yes, it is PURE CRAP!
One of those tech-oriented TV shows did an interesting segment on the moon landing, and they concluded that the landing was real based on a key piece of evidence: the studio A/V equipment of that era was so primitive that it would have been more difficult to credibly STAGE a moon landing than to actually carry out the mission for real. Go figure.

AI only knows what it has learned on the web. And there are a lot of basement-living moon landing deniers with web sites.

nassa thinks we’re stupid/wants to be seen as perfect, so it may have staged the image that should hsve been there had the camera not failed.
The source of this is a relatively unknown Indian news source.

Kodak actually had a stereoscopic camera on the Moon, but I don’t think it took any of the disputed pictures.
The Hasselblads were doing most of the imaging.
