Powerful story, norsky. There is a Scripture about some demons only coming out after fasting and praying. I think it’s in Luke, but even some Bibles have removed it. Let me do a little digging.

He replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer and fasting.”
Many more modern translations have removed “and fasting.”
The traditional interpretation of Jesus’ explanation of this verse has this particular “kind” of demon being so powerful that the disciples would not be able to drive it out, and that only prayer to God would result in the boy’s healing.
It is awful that Judges make themselves gods and decide when and where a patient is to die. My heart hurts for the parents

How many are you dealing with to gift at the clinic?
Here in WA it is ALL mail in and even then people can’t get off their butts and fill out the ballot. They don’t have to go anywhere. Ballots are mailed to us, NO postage needed to mail back via post office or one can use the drop box.

Our county pop. IS 98,268 (2021) The difference is probably ILLEGALS who are NOT elegable to vote.

My thoughts on gifts to the veterinarian group. I think the vet needs to get one gift and the staff all get the same different gift.
The reality of today’s economy makes me think that although a trinket of some sort is clever and a memory, it’s also maybe not what they need.
what I would do with the vet is figure around $100 make her a nice basket with a couple really good steaks (if she’s married )some choice fruit some choice vegetables and a gourmet dessert. If you want to add a little bit more maybe a $50 gift certificate for a nice local restaurant.
For the staff I think a gift certificate from Walmart- now that may sound silly but if they want to get a shirt fine if they want to get some food fine. the amount is up to what your budget is and what number of people you’re dealing with. People are really struggling now for a lot of things so I just am looking at the practical aspect
Good points, Dolly. Everyone is feeling the price of groceries, so gift certificates for a good grocery store would be appreciated, for sure.

Cotton let me share what I did to my chiropractor and his staff every Christmas.
The last week before Christmas usually early in the week I brought in a meal
. I usually did it myself like this last year I did deli sandwiches. I had huge trays full of roast beef roast turkey and ham. I had Swiss cheese Gouda cheese and a mild cheddar I had plates of lettuce & tomato. jars of pickles relish mustard and ketchup
I made a big bowl of potato salad and brought in a couple cakes from the bakery. I also brought in 2- 12 packs of wine all different kinds sweet and dry red and white
there were 15 on staff so they each got a bottle and they could drink the bottles as they wanted or the doc could do whatever he wanted with them
. I had free chiropractic care for years professional courtesy because my father went is the same college as this Chiropractor and was face on face a friend with Palmer considered the father of modern chiropractory.
One year I did pizzas and brought in a salad another year I made three trays of lasagna two meat and one veggie
so it’s up to you what you want to do if you want to give them a book or some thing that’s fine but I know from my years of teaching and other work I was given so many gifts that were nice and clever but just stayed in the drawer or never really appreciated like the intent they were given .
I guess in general because of my struggles over the years I tend to be practical

Failed ABC Fake News reporter Jonathan Karl just wrote another bad book. He works sooo hard, but has sooo little talent - Some people have it, and some people don’t. In the “book” he has the World’s most overrated celebrity, Kim Kardashian, supposedly telling me that she “would leverage her celebrity to get football stars to come to the White House,” if I would commute the sentences of various prisoners. This story is Fake News in that she would be the last person I asked to get football players. I’ve had many teams, from all sports and leagues, in the White House. If there was even a slight reluctance, I would immediately withdraw the invitation, there would be NO Negotiation - But this did not happen often. I did help with prisoner commutation, but only if deserving, and much more so for Kanye West than for Kim, who probably voted for Crooked Joe Biden, and look at the mess our Country is in now. Many other false stories in Karl’s very boring book, but nothing worth mentioning!
