It’s incredible that Americans have become such apathetic, lethargic cowards. We won’t even stand up to our own elected pimps in Congress. I remember a familiar quote:

Nations always progressed through the following sequence:
1. from bondage to spiritual faith;
2. from spiritual faith to great courage;
3. from courage to liberty;
4. from liberty to abundance;
5. from abundance to complacency;
6. from complacency to apathy;
7. from apathy to dependence;
8. from dependence back into bondage'

”Those who ignore history,” etc.

Define “safe”.

While you’re at it, define “elected”.

I think most of us now realize our “political leaders” only care about padding their personal fortune.

“do you trust your elected leaders?”

No, I absolutely do not trust them to do ANYTHING useful, moral or sensible.

Well, SCOTUS some states have taken some good steps to fight AGAINST CRT, DEI, Woke, and abortion. That’s good. But, by and large, the Uniparty is against America and Americans.

Legislation doesn’t make communities safe. Active participation by patriotic citizens does.

Yep. This poll is a perfect example of the logical fallacy of begging the question.

Hard times make bad men.

Good men beat up the bad men.

Good men make good times.

Good men think bad men are gone.

Bad men come back.

Bad men make hard times.

Hard times make more bad men.

I never hire ‘migrants’ to do work around my home and I always warn contractors I have do anything on my house that I don’t want them around my house.

As far as government keeping me safe, I’ll trust in my weapons to do that. There’s yer safety.

The politicians don’t care. Not a bit. They’re getting rich, and you’re not. Come election time, you’ll have your choice of a D flavored deep state operative, or an R flavored deep state operative.

The public is encouraged to fight amongst themselves while the political class laughs their way to the bank.

Our government hates the People. I really believe that. They despise us as peasants.

I live in a heavily Democrat county. All the top officials are Democrats.
However, the country sheriff seems to be a good guy, as have been all his predecessors.

I suppose that eventually Soros will get around to funding sheriff races like he’s now funding DA races. Then that will be the end of that.

Side note: Our DA is a Democrat, but he too was a good guy. He was just beat in the primary by a Soros-funded DA candidate. This guy believes criminals deserve no bail, many chances to “reform”, etc. So I expect crime to explode in this county.

Congress is not going to keep “your” community safe. That is a local issue. Here is the heiracrchy:

1. Personal Protection.
2. Neighborhood Protection
3. Local/County government
4. State Government
5. Federal Government

Congress does very little to ensure I am safe in my home.

Yes, the closer you get to the immigration centers the more liable federal government is. My community makes sure we keep that crap away from our town.

They certainly aren’t passing legislation to keep our communities safer, so it is hard for me to understand why, apart from non-thinking people, this would be much less than 100% NO.
