I'm completely embarrassed by the dismal performance by Dave Roberts and the Dodgers. They'll always be my team but this was disgusting.
But the “Sisters” still love them!
Remember, Vegas has the final say.

Still did much better this year than the Yankees. Didn’t even make the playoffs. The team has been a complete disaster since Aaron Boone became Manager.
That one 1978 playoff game between NYY and BOSOX - they should do that one over. After Bucky Dent’s pop fly homer, we went to see Animal House to get our high school minds off of it.
Could be worse... you could be a Mets fan...
Add the Braves to that list thus far...
Completely embarrassing.
Should make for a different WS for sure.
Big fan of wild cards winning the Series, especially if that wild card is Arizona. Otherwise, I am a big fan of the favorite winning the Series, especially if that favorite is Arizona. I guess what I am saying here in Phoenix is I hope Arizona always wins the Series for the rest of eternity
09/10/23 Los Angeles Dodgers 2 Arizona Diamondbacks 4
07/10/23 Los Angeles Dodgers 2 Arizona Diamondbacks 11
Seems like the Diamondbacks own the Dodgers
Brought to you by the Sisters of Perpetual Abuse.
I havent watched baseball since the millionaires club had a strike leading to a cancelled World Series. Eff em.
MLB should use a round robin tournament for the playoffs, similar to what they have in college baseball.
Never should have left Brooklyn.
Gems built and managed for the long season often fail in short series. Managing a team in a short series successfully in a short series takes a different approach. It was the reason the Braves won all those division titles in the 90’s and 2000’s but filed in the playoffs. Bobby Cox could not or would not change his approach.
Yordan Alvarez sends his best wishes for the Dodgers off season.
One of the reasons I like The Premier League in soccer, the Champion is the team with the best record over the course of the season. But there are other competitions, like The FA Cup, that keeps other clubs interested, even if they’re out of the running for the domestic championship. Plus there is the race to make the top four to get a spot in next year’s Champions League.
The Dodgers have choked in the playoffs almost every year since the turn of the century. With the exception of their 2020 World Series 4-2 win against the Rays.
They have had one of the top five highest payrolls in MLB for twenty five years. Yet, like the METS they have had very little success in the playoffs.
This is because BASEBALL is not fair. Large market teams like NY & LA can afford to pay more for talent because of the revenue generated by their franchise owned TV stations.
Unlike the NFL, the Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox own the broadcast rights to the game. Unless it is a nationally televised game on Fox. So, these large market teams can typically beat smaller market teams throughout the year and make the playoffs. This year in the AL East is an exception.
The Yankees and Sox were battling for last place.
This system makes it so that small market teams like Milwaukee & Pittsburgh can not compete with the Cubs or METS. That is why I think it is great when any smaller market team like the Rays or Oriels win the ALCS. FYI, I am a Red Sox fan.
Go DBacks.
Happened to the Orioles.
Happened to the Dodgers.
The Orioles earned their first round bye and then got swept by Texas.
The Dodgers earned their first round bye and then got punked by Arizona.
It’s not the fault of MLB, the Rangers, the D-Backs or even the Dynastic Houston Astros, it is the fault of the Dodgers and Orioles.
Yep, Houston didn’t seem to have much rust.
You can’t always rely on offense in the playoffs, when you’re going up against top-notch pitching.
The Brooklyn Dodgers were my team in the 50s {only because my Little League team was the Dodgers} and I was heart broken when they left NY for LA.
After they moved I started watching/listening to the Pirates and I was stationed in Germany when the Pirates won the 60 World Series via Maz's unlikely homer against the Yankees.
Some of us young Pirate fans {almost all were drafted at the time} had a real party at a local Gasthause in Schweinfurt, Germany.
Even though that was more than 60 years ago, I'll never be able to remember that night...it's always been a blur:)
