Coronavirus patients treated with a combination of hydroxychloroquine – furiously denounced by the media and medical establishment after then-President Donald Trump revealed he was taking it – and azithromycin enjoyed better survival rates, a study has revealed.
The study, published in the scientific journal New Microbes and New Infections, evaluated “the efficacy and safety of a treatment protocol with [a] standard dose of hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin in patients hospitalized with COVID-19 infection” by comparing the 28-day mortality rate of 352 patients treated with the drugs to a contemporary control group of 3,533 patients who received standard care.
Researchers found a “statistically significant reduction in crude mortality rate at 28 days was observed in the [hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin] group” – emphasizing their findings “do not support the current negative recommendations regarding this treatment.”
Donald Trump, who stuck by his belief in hydroxychloroquine, based on the testimony of frontline doctors, despite pressure to withdraw his support, long argued the animus against the drug was motivated purely by the fact he had endorsed it.

Well, not purely for that reason. There were also the billions of dollars at stake based on the emergency approval of the vaccines which would not have been legal if an effective treatment was available. They would have had to have gone through the full, multi-year testing and approval process. By that time the epidemic has largely burned out.
The reality is that there are too many factors that cause a variance in results.

I am oh so lucky to have genetic variations in every single P450 enzyme listed in this study on HQC AND in the MDR1 transporter gene. Unclear how many of my variations directly effect the break down of this drug. Unfortunately, it appears the tests to show how your body is breaking down the drug is only available for research. You can only get the total..not the broken down metabolites.
For people like me it would be a total crapshoot. I don’t take Plaquenil for autoimmune issues. Too risky and too much not known. Of course, if my problem skyrockets I may have to change my mind.
Given how hard it was for me to figure out this issue i would say there are likely quite a few people who have the problem and just don’t know it.

Yep. Kennedy’s book does a good job exposing how the paramedical companies & Fauci, shut down the use of that and Ivermectin early on.
So for those that don’t really understand how genetics make a huge difference on this...this paragraph is an example. btw, I saw a study that indicated that it seems that people who have retina issues with this drug had a higher level of one of the metabolites...which could be related to genetic breakdown of the drug

When the covid pandemic first made headlines, I recall viewing a NJ based infectious disease physician stating that Hydroxychloroquine was a “game changer,” in his words. Once Trump endorsed it as a treatment, however, it was all downhill from there, and anyone prescribing it was labeled a quack, or worse.
The reason the CDC did not want ANY alternative treatments is that by law, if such treatments are available, the emergency use authorization has to be revoked.

I just drink Quinine water. Covid is more scared of me than I am of covid. Plus I had 4 jabs of the so called vaccine. Doing very well. No clots, no heart issues, no allergies, no colds, no coughs. OK so my body has experience fighting viruses having burned 83 candles.
You know best part of crossing 80? All the nerves in teeth are shriveled and dead. No more tooth aches. I decline the pin killer shot at dentist, who always finds a cavity needing a filling.
