I knew a guy who lived in one of Chicagos weathiest suburbs in a lake front house. His father gave him a Porsche for his 16th birthday. Even in this neighborhood in the 1970’s most kids did not have their own car at 16. And he was likely the only one with a Porsche. He wrapped it around a tree. Not a scratch on the kid. Father gave him another one shortly afterwards. It may have been the insurance. That one was totaled within a month. He went off to college without a car. But he was still above ground, thanks to his father finally learning the lesson. God does not often give you 3 chances.

Most 911s have rear jump seats, with seat belts. The feature of rear seats in some Porsche sports models is a marketing ploy that goes back to the 1950s - wives couldn't object to dad's purchase of a sports car because they couldn't bring their small kids along.
I am 6'3" and was actually able to cram myself into the rear seats of a 911 when I was (a lot) younger. The rear jump seats are far more suitable for briefcases, small animals and small children, though.
I love Porsches, but I don't think that a 2014 Porsche 911 would be the best first car to choose for a 16 year old. A pre-dinged 9 year old Volvo would be my own recommendation. (The lower the horsepower, and the slower the car, the better.)
Very much mom and dad’s fault. Trying to portray stays via daughter’s car, which has way too much HP for a 16 year old, and obviously little supervision.
