'We are at war': French police vow to hit back after rioters steal speeding bus and smash fast car into a Lidl as funeral is held for 17-year-old shot by officer and Macron cancels Germany trip

French police have declared they are 'at war' with 'savage hordes of vermin' amid widespread rioting and looting that saw a bus stolen and a car smashed into a supermarket front.

Two police unions threatened a revolt unless Emmanuel Macron's government restored order amid protests sparked by the killing of a French-Algerian teenager by police on Tuesday - also causing the French president to cancel his trip to Germany.

'Today the police are in combat because we are at war,' a report from the unions said. 'Tomorrow we will enter resistance and the government should be aware of this.'

It comes as marauding gangs of rioters clashed with police again last night leading to 1,300 arrests. Footage showed the extreme chaos on French streets as rioters were seen speeding in a bus and smashing a car into the front of a Lidl supermarket.

The friends and family of Nahel today attended the funeral of the 17-year-old shot at point-blank range by an officer at a traffic stop earlier this week.

Looters have ransacked dozens of shops and torched 2,000 vehicles since the start of the riots, which have spread to cities such as Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse, Strasbourg and Lille.

More than 200 police officers have been injured, Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said, adding that the average age of those arrested was 17.

Friday night's arrests included 80 people in Marseille, home to many people of North African descent.

Social media images showed an explosion rocking the old port area of the southern city, but no casualties were reported.

A gunman yesterday also opened up on police and a weapons shop was looted.

An officer in Villeurbanne, near Lyon, described how 'gunfire started' as a patrol entered a council estate where tower blocks had been set alight in the early hours...

FRance now has its George Floyd moment and the anarchists
have siezed controlor urban areas, all theuy need is access to a few armories.

This will either be French Revolution 2.0 or a Blood bath with the military slaughtering thousands.

THe French anarchists are far better organized than ANTIFA ever could be.This is a riotous opener to a completely totalitarian socialist take over of France.

THe Le Pin forces are unlimbering their guns.

You’re probably right...I was writing from memory from stuff read a decade ago. Regardless, algeria was part of france for a long time and that created a pipeline of muslim migration into france.

The friends and family of Nahel today attended the funeral of the 17-year-old shot at point-blank range by an officer at a traffic stop earlier this week. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

HUGE SPIN THERE.

The 17 year old led the police on a high speed chase reaching speeds of over 100 miles an our, using his speeding Mercedes auto as a weapon. He wold not submit to arrest and still tried to drive away, refusung to be arrested and keeping his car locked whule trying to move it to get away. He was shot.

NO surprise there.

I suppose they ould have just olet him go and chased him again at 100 mph endangeringthe public?

The non factual press spin on this event is horrible.

It was a righteous shooting.

The typical French person shakes his head and doesn’t buy into the leadership...but all you get offered politically is more of the highly insulated intellectuals.

The reason so many people love Trump is that he is not a highly insulated intellectual. He actually needed to interact with real people in the real world

“Regardless, algeria was part of france for a long time and that created a pipeline of muslim migration into france.”

This is true. And the process whereby France acquired those regions is really quite fascinating. It was in effect a strategy mostly driven from below, by ambitious (or bored) colonial officers. Much of French colonialism was such happenstance, permitted by the general confusion of French governance in the politically unstable late 19th century.

The only important cases where it was a matter of French strategy directed from Paris (as opposed to being tacitly permitted by Paris) were the initial annexation of what is now Vietnam (by Napoleon III), and of Madagascar. For the rest, the French state was continually left to cash checks its colonial military had written.

One great book on the process and mindset of French colonialism (or one example) “Conquest of Morocco”, Douglas Porch.

The French state (their “deep state”) understood very well that its empire was a collection of white elephants, and that holding them was not just uneconomic but potentially dangerous. Their colonial officers (such as Charles Mangin) justified it all, eventually, by citing the large reserves of military manpower its empire gave France. That DID come in handy in WW1.

You’re right, there’s quite a spin being put on the shooting.

Interestingly enough, the French police have a legal right to shoot at a fleeing car even when their lives are not in danger.

Good. I hope they finally see what disgusting vermin mudslimes are and kill or deport them to the toilets they overflowed from and rid their country of them.

Proactive people and countries/organizations are quick to solve problems and prevent trouble.

On the other hand, weak people and soft countries won't fix problems until they reach a level of extreme disorder...and that often means war is necessary.

The WEF (of which Macron is a loyal member) has been slipping lately. Sweden's progress re: nuclear power plants and France's war in the streets come to mind.

THe lefty commie anarchsts are clearing the decks for the next revolution. They are too impatoent to let Globalist Macron to do his slow walk towards totalitarianism.

France has horrioble racial and ethnic problems in its urban centers and the destruction of civil society is now a work in progress.

I expect the government will abandon all of its restraint and mobilize the military agaunst these “uipstarts.”

Marism in its classic sense relies on economic dosparity, but the Nouveau comoes use racial unrest , amplify t ad exploit it, just as they do in the USA.....BUT the traditional French have been there before unlike America. Thats why I expect a blood bath.

THe French government is about to administer more than just a whiff of grape.

( Canada’s Froggy PM would have already invoked the totalitarian War Measures Act by now, but France’s Froggy is reluctatnt becseau he wants things to get REALLY BAD in justification, before he invokes a similar decree in France.)
