Half that! Cuz we ‘pick-up’ our ‘take-out’.
A lot of people simply do not cook. On special occasions, they may throw a Stouffer’s Lasagna in the microwave. Just like Mama used to make.
Factor in cost of food, time of prep, cleanup, cost of
Prep, tips, quality of ingredients, uncontrolled fats and salt in take out, time to wait for delivery, not knowing if prep people were hygienic...probably better to cook at home.
My wife and I spend around $300 a year on take out.
Take out is not healthy eating.
Bogus #’s. I do not spend 120.00 Dollars per week at the grocery and eat like a King (Thank you God!) and even end up stock piling staple items. It’s a shame these needless articles that defy monetary logic....but their are a lot of fool’s in our republic.
Zero. No one delivers to a good address, only city addresses.
Maybe half a dozen delivered orders to our house within a year. We are not in that demographic.
We usually go out to eat at a Restaurant once a week, fast food Never, once in a while take out pizza.
We neither buy nor eat pre-processed foods either, my Wife cooks and prepares everything fresh, we even make our own pasta and bread, grow a lot of vegetables, fruit trees and with over a dozen chickens we never run out of eggs.
Hardly ever use them now but I do eat out frequently.
I live so far from the nearest restaurant the food would be stone cold before I got it home.
Yuck. After the Hep A outbreak here that spread among the restaurants and fastfood places, cooking at home is advised.
Besides, we love to cook....and eat well.
I have only ever once had food delivered. I was on Nantucket (no jokes please) when Hurricane Bob was threatening in 1991, and standing by the landline phone for a slot on a ferry to the mainland. I didn’t want to miss my slot, so I had pizza delivered.

We get stuff delivered almost every Friday. Nice way to end the week. Especially in this modern world with Uber and Doordash and whatever. You just tell your phone to bring you food and walla, food appears. Awesome stuff.
No delivery of any ‘fast food’ where I live. I wouldn’t eat it, anyway.
We either raise it, fish for it, grow it or kill it and grill it. ;)
Otherwise, I cook.

We have take-out about once a month, now that I think about it. Chinese, pizza, or the fried fish place. Depends on how many of us are getting together, probably averages $100 or so each time.
The only food I have delivered are my groceries. Other deliveries are from Chewy.com, items needed from Walmart (batteries, light bulbs, etc.), and Amazon once or twice per year. I never order take out food.
Wife and I spend over $300 a week to eat at home. That’s not a typo. By the end of the week, the pantry is almost bare.
We decided to order pizza last night. Haven’t done that in months. $31 for a large pie. $31!!!! For a large pizza. I was floored.
They’re getting us either way. Most people are lazy and just eat out because the value add for eating at home is practically nil.
Less than $100/year. And that’s using gift cards we’ve been given. We eat all meals at home - lots of lean protein with fresh fruit and vegetables.
