Its certainly not as far as it is from Elksway to Ducksquirt yet if you and I met half way between our journals would read quite differently.
Following my surname forward from Alt Bork in the 1500s I can see a cycle that suggests that we arent quite like everyone else. It seems we tend to live on the fringes and as we enter adulthood travel around to meet a large diversity of people in their places. Shortly thereafter it seems that we decide we just dont like the rest of you and return to the edges to get the next generation started on their inevitable trip back.
We arrived in the new world in the 1700s and moved west until we founded a city in the 1800s along with two other families in an area within about 3 miles to which I have accidentally returned. Somehow surprised that others soon arrived we packed up and moved along.
I heard the last of the family German in the 70s. Many local rurals still sounded like recent immigrants at that time as German was still the language in their homes.
When I moved to Kaiserslautern my German friends thought that my attempts to communicate sounded old and rather unusual. I seem to have adapted relatively well. It didnt take long for locals I met as I travelled around Europe to recognize me as must having been a native of Kaiserslautern all along even though their dialect wouldnt sound anything similar to what I has started speaking.
Though Ive accidentally returned to the area where we lived a good while back, recent events have made English much more difficult than it always was and German and Latin words only appear as unbidden intruders as I attempt to formulate sentences. They say my language skills will get better as I recover so Im hoping for a big improvement in my Greek since I never did get around to learning that. :)
I have been the short term native of away and the long term foreigner near. I guess the point is that we can never experience the same here and the length of the thread only needs be only as long as it takes to sew up a story.

Yeah, anything right now is possible. I even saw a theory about Russia using this crisis to draw out the remaining Ukraine troops in Ukraine.
I’ve been seeing 2 narratives being driven on Twitter. One is the Wagner Group is successfully on the march towards Moscow. The other is the Russian troops are about to or have the Wagner Group surrounded.
There sure is a push by the dems, libs, and/or derps to drive home how President Trump’s collusion buddy Putin, is about to go down. Of course The Durham Report squashed that narrative but here we are, they are still pushing the same old lies.
There is also that part in the movie,”The Sum of All Fears” where, during the Russian chaos the corrupt billionaires started, they also set off a nuke so the world would blame it on Russia. It was all an attempt to get the US & Russia into a war.

Nice take on what is possibly going down in Russia. One thing he did kind of addressed for me, which is how this Wagner Group was going to succeed without air support. He claimed the Wagner Group was getting actively engaged from the air. He also stated the derp information war has ramped up over all of this.

Maybe that is why “symbolism will be their downfall: by hiding their nefarious plan in movies it made it possible for us to recognize their plan as it happens.
