Yeah I just watched it. You guys are way ahead of us, I’ll try cities only has three cities. Apparently we feel hemmed in by the name.
About what you and they were saying about blacks not being welcome, my husband went on a couple interviews in the Deep south, Alabama and Mississippi. One of them, the power plant was in a predominantly black town. He was told that he wouldn’t want to live there, he would want to move over to the white town and commute in. Apparently things are still quite divided there. The houses in the predominantly black town were quite a bit cheaper. I don’t know if we lived there if we would have had troubles, but he ended up not taking the job anyway.
Yes, Evaporative Cooler Units.
We called them Swamp Coolers as they put moisture in the air and straightened our hair. LOL
“We called them Swamp Coolers”
We called them that also but for the life of me I couldn’t remember and Google called them evaporator units. :-)

Close it all down!!
Well we only had 3 cities until an area west of Richland started building up and then incorporated into a city a few years ago.
My daughter and SIL went to Calif a few years ago and on the way home she had to go to the bathroom REAL BAD so they pulled off the freeway into a gas station in Oakland. Predominantly Black area. She jumped out of the car ran to the bathroom and it was locked. She dashed to the front asked for the keys and the Black guy asked her, “Do you know where you are”? She said; “Yes, Oakland” He said; “You don’t want to go in there.” “WHY?” He said; Because they shoot up in there and killings happen in there.” “You best be leaving here.”
Yikes! Really nice of him to warn her
Keystone wasn’t canceled. Oil still flows thru 4 phases of the pipeline.
what Joe Biden canceled was the XL branch of Keystone.
It wasn’t functional.
It was in the process of being built.

thanks, but ya know there sure is a lot of oil going by train, for sure in my state in the PNW.
People would hang them off a car somewhere - hood ornament or outside mirror - and the bag would cool the drinking water by evaporation as the car sped along.
