Isn’t there a additional L.A. tax on sales >$5M? I’ve been to the house but can’t recall if it’s actually in the city limits. Might have to lower the price.
Its got practically no back yard.
“A few years back, HGTV bought the North Hollywood property for $3.5 million and renovated it on the show “A Very Brady Renovation.”
My wife and I watched that because we’re from that generation. They had to radically restructure it because the show was filmed on sets and not at the actual house and they didn’t matchup......depiction. IIRC even with all that they still didn’t get it exactly like the show depicted.
But yeah, 5.5 mill.......in just about any other state it’d probably go for less than a mill but real estate in California is literally stupid expensive.
The house appeared in some episodes of “Mannix,” as well.
And here I grew up thinking they were middle class.
Does it still have the Astroturf in the backyard?
Although not evident from a street shot, the back of the property abuts the LA aqueduct, and given the homeless situation, and their propensity for such places, that might not be a big selling point.
No kidding, perhaps 350k
Good luck to HGTV.
I live in this area. North Hollywood is a middle to lower middle class suburb. Not as bad as Pacoima or other SF Valley areas, but not the best by a long shot. NH High School is one of the worst and crime/immigrant overcrowding has always been a problem, but they’ve spruced up the main drag to with a ‘bohemian’ motif. Use to be even crappier, but it’s probably peaked.
There are a few other 7-figure listings, but much larger / newer homes and nowhere near $5mil, and most are under $1mil. They’re betting on the celeb/hollywood factor is my guess. Don’t think it will work. I wouldn’t pay millions over ordinary market value just for that.
Not very handicapped friendly. There is a reason why they quit making split level houses.
Pay the 10% LA millionaire property sale tax..
Just a heads up. Yes it is over priced, but imagine a streamer kid, or a x-rated video company using it for... It only is useful for some kind of video production use or something like Mr. Beast doing a gag video or giveaway. Someone probably wants to try a viral video thing here.

The house I had my eye on, was at one time for sale. But was torn down. I about fell out when I first heard the rumor that The One himself was going to buy it.

I wonder what they found up in the attic.

We saw and enjoyed it.
Here’s the story of a man named Brady
Who was living in a quite expensive house.
