Bud Light sales have plummeted even further after the brand CEO finally broke his silence on their disastrous campaign with Dylan Mulvaney.
Beer Business Daily commented that 'it's not pretty' for America's flagship brand and their parent company Anheuser-Busch after revealing the numbers for beer across April.
Anheuser-Busch volumes were down more than 12 percent last month, with Bud Light falling a staggering 21.4 percent.
Competitors of the Belgian-owned beer giant both saw their volume rise – with Molson Coors jumping 7.6 percent and Constellation 3.8 percent.
Yuengling took the tumbling sales of Bud Light in their stride, rising up 14.7 percent, while Miller Light had a spike of 12.8 percent.
Coors Light rose 10.9 percent, and Coors Banquet 20.5 percent – while Budweiser was also hit with the knock-on effect of the controversy by dipping 11.5 percent.
It comes after Global CEO of Anheuser-Busch Michel Doukeris blamed 'misinformation and disinformation' that was spread online for making people believe cans with Mulvaney's face were being rolled out for sale across the US.
He addressed the mass backlash over working with trans influencer Mulvaney, 26, for the first time in an earnings call with investors last week.
He added that the company is 'providing direct financial support' to the frontline workers impacted by the boycott.
Doukeris told the Financial Times over the weekend: 'People often talk about this topic in social media like noise.
'You have one fact and every person puts an opinion behind the fact. And then the opinions start to be replicated fast on each and every comment.

Just had a Coors draft yesterday at lunch.
Actually didn’t seem half bad as I remember it years ago.
Thank you. It’s hilarious and sad to see so many people act like sheep, thinking they have scored some massive victory in the culture war by drinking different beer. Our enemies are laughing their collective asses off watching us chase squirrels.
If we can affect the A-B stock price and get a bunch of executives fired the shareholders and executives of a bunch of corporations won’t think we are “chasing squirrels”.
They will think we hunted and got some raw meat.
Every day there is a new article regarding the A/B marketing disaster. Usually, such articles disappear from the front pages after a few days. This has now been going on for over five weeks and shows no signs of abating.
I’m not sure what A/B can do at this point. It’s too late for a full apology to their long-timed consumers. Their half-hearted excuses and blame-shifting has only served to tick off the GIBLET crowd. They really have no options now which will bring back their previous customers.
A/B can just be silent and hope previous consumers will eventually forget and return to their prior habits. However, are bars and small convenience stores going to have the beer in stock in the future? There is no need to waste money stocking product that isn’t selling. So, six months down the road, if someone orders a Bud Light, the bartender’s response might be “we have none in stock”.
Go Woke, then lie about it:
Then, go broke!!
The sales they are talking about are the sales of the distributors to the retailers. The supermarkets and liquor stores have their standing orders so they will fill the inventory to a certain level. At the start of the crisis there was some inventory depletion to be replaced automatically so initially the sales don’t look as bad right away.
The CEO of ImBev is just as smug as the CEO of Budweiser and everyone else in that chain. The entire company is a hopeless woke mess and deserves to go out of business.
They mated with their d!cks with the third rail of lifestyle accessories - don’t mix escapism with politics. That’s what Bud sells, escapism. Starbucks certainly isn’t selling coffee - they are selling women (mostly) $10 respites from the daily grind. Coffee is free in most offices.
ImBev is going to go down, and that’s how capitalism works.
Why not? They've been selling piss to their customers for decades.
I was trying to say that it really isn’t the company’s mission to combat the perverts. Serve then Bud Light or serve them dog piss. I don’t care. Just don’t promote them.
love DM
they are hammering away at this
they must be getting tremendous traffic
Yuengling took the tumbling sales of Bud Light in their stride, rising up 14.7 percent,

Because until they do, they still won't have proven to everyone's satisfaction that they are truly "woke."
Regards,
we are 5 weeks in
they have 7 weeks left to turn this around
By that point, this whole fiasco will be a fairly distant memory for all but us hardcore politicos. It’s going to take a little time to bring the sales back up to normal, but by the end of the year, it will be business as usual for AB Inbev. I wouldn’t be surprised if the marketing exec that is currently on leave is back and prepping the next campaign to double down on the nonsense.
Precisely! I learned how to brew my own. Far better beer and a freedom only agenda!
yes
this thing has legs
All the guys I work with still drink it. They just don’t care. “I don’t see a faggot on this can” is their justification. I’m the only one who dropped Bud and moved to Coors
there have been other boycotts
have you seen this many articles
5 weeks in?
