Maybelline is facing calls for a boycott after a sponsorship with the transgender social-media influencer Dylan Mulvaney, who posted a short video last month of herself applying the brand's cosmetics and "getting glam."
The pushback comes as another major brand, Anheuser-Busch's Bud Light, is grappling with a boycott of its beer due to a similar partnership with Mulvaney.
The uproar comes as conservative lawmakers in some U.S. states pass laws that restrict the rights of transgender people, such as a new measure in North Dakota that restricts transgender health care in the state. Brands both big and small often partner with social media stars to promote their products in Instagram Reels or TikTok videos, often as a way to express support for inclusivity or reach specific groups like LGBTQ+ people or young women.

🤣
Oh don’t mention that.
You might get attacked like I was.
I did go to Ulta today because it’s the only place that has the 4 things I needed. There was a big e.l.f. poster for lipstick & one of the images was a man with a mustache in bright red lipstick. It’s like a 🤡 show! And he looked stupid, but whatever.
Feminine products next?
Go woke, go broke. The ladies have had more of their share of this crap.
I think Mary Kay might still be sane.
Maybelline has used cross dressers in print ads before. They should have been boycotted long ago for it.
I expect more stupidity from the Woke.
For sure.
The uproar comes as conservative lawmakers in some U.S. states pass laws that restrict the rights of transgender ………
Should be:……pass laws that protect the rights of parents and normal citizens. Frankly I’ve gotten sick of minority rule and the courts that enforce it on us.
No.7 is a drugstore brand and I haven’t seen anything like that with them.

Something like that would just encourage me not to wear their makeup.
I’ve used MAC cosmetics for over a decade. The posters of guys wearing makeup in their shops are too much for me. (I do admit that I’m using one eyeshadow shade that was recommended by one of their male clerks and it’s one he uses.)
Is Dylan the only spokesperson that any company is hiring? Why is he suddenly everywhere and partnering with all of these companies? I don’t get it. There is nothing special about him at all.
Very, very good. A+
Transvestite Dylan Mulvaney
Yes, my wife loves Korean cosmetics, considers them the best.
Originally the song was titled “Ida Red”, but when he went to Chess Records to record it, I think someone said there was already a song with that title so he had to come up with a new name and picked “Maybelline”.
I think he might have thought of that because of his day job, which was as a women’s hairdresser...
I looked at both Avon’s and No 7’s websites....then, their Instagram pages.
Both of their webpages show only women....to the best of my knowledge..ha!..and messages about empowering women....for women, etc.
Their IG pages....which have outside contributors...but, are brand approved....had mostly women, BUT....each had trannies (Avon, two that I saw...then clicked off) and, No 7 had one (that I saw, before clicking off of page).
Sigh.
no....we’re not. I wish we were. If we truly were the Fortune 500 companies would be struggling.
