Whoopi Goldberg today slammed Anheuser-Busch for backtracking on its Bud Light advertising campaign featuring trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
The View hosts claimed that the company's subsequent commercial for Budweiser using the famous Clydesdale horse galloping across the heartland was an attempt to to offer an apology to its outraged customer base.
'What are you so angry about? Beer does not have a - I mean, it's not a Democrat or a Republican. It doesn't have a belief system. It's just beer!' Whoopi said. The 67-year-old urged the brewer not to 'let them scare you' as she claimed America was not 'transphobic'.
Goldberg's co-host, progressive Sunny Hostin said it was offensive that the Clydesdale ad was presented in an attempt to ease some of the tension around the Mulvaney partnership.
'All of the sudden they get this backlash and their response is, 'Let's get the horses out!' And I was like, "Because horses are so much more American than trans people"', she said.
Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth struck a conciliatory tone Friday as he put out a statement on behalf of the company that said 'we never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people.'
'We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer,' Whitworth wrote in an open letter published on the company’s Twitter account.
It referred to the company’s 'history and heritage' in 'America’s heartland,' but never mentioned Mulvaney or the backlash specifically.
Hostin told her View co-hosts that people have branded Bud Light an 'American beer,' despite the owner - Anheuser-Busch - being a Belgian company.
She railed against the United States, saying that 'this country is highly transphobic.'

Ha ha, AB has now succeeded in pissing off everybody.
But, look at congress. They are
“… members of the LGBTQ community ‘are Americans too.”
Fentanyl smugglers, crackheads and pedos are Americans too. Do a commercial celebrating them.
“...as she claimed America was not ‘transphobic’.
We aren’t afraid of them...we despise/pity the creatures.
Why O why do corporations step into these tar pits.
Whoopie and the View participants have one IQ point among them.
Gays and trannies don’t drink Bud Light. Not now, not ever. That lady told the existing customer base that she wants to replace them. No apology will be accepted until she is fired.
LOL, Who thinks it's a good idea to name someone after a fart joke device?
[A whoopee (or whoopie) cushion is a practical joke device involving flatulence humour, which produces a noise resembling human flatulence. It has also been referred to as a farting bag, pooting cushion, windy blaster and Razzberry Cushion.]
Dig away you idiots. The best response for anyone is "Bud What?" and talk about something like gas stoves or Stormy Daniels.
“Budweiser needs to apologize to the Clydesdales and their customer base.
ABC needs to apologize for “The View”
Whoopie’s Parents need to apologize to America.
Dylan Mulvaney needs to apologize to every biological woman on Planet Earth”
This^
With Her on board, maybe it could achieve Warp .01.
Beer hags on a beer drunk drink Bud Light.
One financial news article today:
Bud Courts Controversy. Why the Stock Market Doesn’t Care.

EXCERPT:
As Truist Securities analyst Michael Roxland wrote last week, leading industry publication Beer Business Daily noted some volume declines in Bud Light over the Easter holiday weekend in some markets following the ad campaign. Additionally, “the publication stated that some AB InBev distributors in the Heartland and South were increasingly cautious given negative consumer reaction.”
That may be the case, but it’s done little to slow AB InBev’s recent rally. The shares have jumped more than 8% over the past month and are up 8.1% since the start of the year, helped by a strong fourth-quarter report in March, and at a recent $64.78 are only about 3% below their 52-week high. Over the past year, AB InBev stock is up 10.6%.
That means that AB InBev has outperformed not only the S&P 500 but its peers tracked by the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) over the past one-month, one-year and year-to-date periods. In fact, over the past year AB InBev has been a standout in the sector, with its shares outpacing those of Constellation Brands (STZ), Molson Coors Beverage (TAP), Boston Beer Co. (SAM) and Diageo (DEO).
I think AB finally proved that bad press can be bad press.
I have never had a Bud Light because light beer has no appeal to me. If I did drink it and liked it, they wouldn’t have to resort to pandering and gimmicks to get me to buy it. They just have to make a product that I like, and all of the advertising I require is “this beer is good and you should buy it.”
Budweiser could undo all of this with one simple commercial. Have a group of stampeding Clydesdales running down main Street running over screaming rainbow haired gays and trans to the cheers of the spectators.
Every day these bitchs talk is a missed opportunity for a drone strike.
