Dollar Tree, which sells most products for $1.25 and a small selection of items for $3 or $5, will stop selling eggs at stores because the company can't make money offering them at flat prices.
SNIP
Egg costs jumped 38% for producers annually in February and 55% for shoppers, although eggs are beginning to get cheaper. The average price for a dozen Grade A large eggs was $4.21 in February, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Most retailers have raised egg prices on customers to adjust for higher costs, but Dollar Tree doesn't have as much flexibility to raise prices. "Our primary price point at Dollar Tree is $1.25. The cost of eggs is currently very high," said company spokesperson Randy Guiler. Dollar Tree, which has around 9,000 US stores, will bring back eggs when "costs are more in line with historical levels."

Ahhh, an Irish Easter.
I guess. Potatoes are native to Peru.
What does that sentence mean? Thanks,
Leni
A chicken does it.
Thank you Brandon.
This is what a collapsing country looks like.
We must send at least another $100,000,000,000 to Ukraine and need to prepare to draft American boys & girls to deploy there.
Haven’t you realized that money doesn’t go to Ukraine? It was just because Manchin blocked his budget.
Yea. Iβve also noticed that. I refers to them now as the $5 store. It is the situation we find ourselves in. Donβt see a light at the end of the tunnel any time soon.
I do. It's an oncoming train.
the one we went to was Ben Franklin five and dime. Bought a lot of plastic army guys there.
Probably a good time to get off the tracks
Yep.
In 1930, a dozen eggs went for thirty six cents. Or, around $6.40 today.
No, I wasn’t around then, but I do remember nickel candy bars (just before they soared to a dime).
Egg money like my grandma used to get would be big bucks.
PETA says to dye rocks.
“”My local Walmart had eggs for 99 cents. Not sure the size but the brand was marshmallow. The wife wasn’t keen on picking up a dozen for some reason.””
No matter how they are cooked they become runny.
I noticed the dip in egg prices in SE Wisconsin too this weekend but also noticed huge price hikes on other things, like bakery items. Eggs will probably go up again after Easter.
Another, although more dangerous, way to get eggs cheaper.

Kwik Trip has eggs for $2.99/dozen and Butter for the same, limit five. (Freeze it!)
Milk is still $2.99/gallon. It’s a tad cheaper if you buy two of their 1/2-gallon plastic bag-o-milk.
This is the first week in many that I’ll need to buy eggs. I bought a CASE at Costco back in January and only paid like 26-cents per egg. We just finished that case this past week. (I think it was 120 eggs total, or 10 dozen.)
Everything is still so out of whack. Gasoline fluctuates by 10-20 cents each week, so I still advocate for ‘Dollar Cost Averaging’ where you fill up on the same day each week, just for some consistency in your budget. Some weeks it’s more, some, less...it averages out over time.
Either way: Let’s Go, Brandon! *SPIT*
