Debris landed on “frozen water”, which must be a technical term for whatever the reason was that Brandon couldn’t shoot the other one down before it crossed the whole damn country, only to do so over unfrozen water.
I say it was our own weather balloon.
I listened to some of their news conference attempting to explain the differences between the two balloons. It was a fail.
However I gleaned this much — they don’t think China got much if any intelligence from the first balloon than China would have obtained from other means because the US had all facilities in the flight path go dark.
Let’s assume that is correct. Biden’s solution was to shut down multiple facilities while letting a spy balloon traverse the whole nation? What if there was another threat and we needed to use those facilities?
Even if you accept their arguments it is quite troublesome and weak.
Now they shoot down another one and they claim this one was OK to shoot down because it was smaller and a different altitude?
