I am reminded of Q’s phrase “Sky event.”
I knew of one person but not of the info in that post about KM. That is true that Newt was neutered because of his affair with a staffer, maybe current wife. Our Democrat congressman at the time repeated the story of Newt carrying on while representing the party of family values while Bill Clinton was being scrutinized about Monica. I also remember Newt cozying up to Bill Clinton and Pelosi around the time of his demise. Of course, Bill Clinton had been a serial philanderer, not the first politician, and rapist for years before he was elected. True that the issue is always used against Rs. Dems have a big tent for perverts.
I would have been dead decades ago.

I’m a bit cynical myself, I was bummed when I saw Phillips post that. I hope you’re right, he’s too cynical.
Meanwhile, my house critter (Greg Steube) is all in for McCarthy. I called his local and DC offices this morning to voice my disappointment and told them most of his constituents agree with me. Instead of criticizing the 20 members with balls, he should grow a set and join them.
I’m cynical enough to think my calls meant nothing to him 😎

Wish Gaetz was in on the reported House deal cutting. I’ve seen Chip Roy toy with really bad moves in the past. A great speaker, hope he has grown a spine, but Gaetz is a unflinching and a standing OAK.
