Parents are more ignorant than their kids, having been long separated from all children’s text book learning in modernistic schools, moved to electronics, “new” math, no civics, rewritten history, social cheerios, etc.
Americans begged for these “innovations”, using schools and activities as glorified baby sitters, dedicated to Apathy and parental careers.
I am not innocent, btw, but did raise sons in the church and on John Wayne. 😊 So important lessons and impressionable influences worked early and lasted.

If they are firing D board members its probably a good thing. It seems like its the Ds doing the complaining. They are probably quashing referrals to the OCE. Probably need to wait for more info.

I suspect that it was more a stick to beat Republicans with than anything else. (Did they refer Illhan Omar for marrying her brother to get into the country? No? Weren’t doing their job for some reason...)
I bet “The House Ethics Committee” is like most derp entities, and is actually the opposite of the name given. More like The Corruption Continuation Committee. Burn it to the ground and start over.
