All manner of Santa drivel. Santa Baby. I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause. Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer. etc etc
Also the Grinch song. It's OK in the original context of the show, but not over and over while shopping.
I do love the traditional ones like Silent Night, but not with extended fake orgasm solos. You know the kind I mean.
Does this make me a mean old man? {snicker}

Got that on the Dr. Demento Christmas playlist (barking dogs) - along with Christmas at Ground Zero (Weird Al) and that weird Yorgi Yorgenson song. Kids (teen and pre-teen) love it and play those songs all season long.

I truly dislike that song. And my job has two different versions that they play on the overhead.

Almost all of them as they supplant the reason for the season with secular nonsense.

3. "Last Christmas" by George Michael. It doesn't have anything to do with Christmas except the word "Christmas". You can just as easily substitute "last Tuesday" or "last April."
2. "Mary Did You Know" by Kenny Rogers. Of course she knew.
1. Bruce Springsteen's "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." It makes my ears bleed every time I hear it. I've made it my mission every year to avoid hearing it on the radio or in the stores. Last year I succeeded. This year: So far so good.

“Barking dogs.”
The Jingle Dogs stopped by a local Atlanta radio station in the late 90s. One of the DJs got upset that the dogs didn’t do anything but lie in their cages during the visit. He actually expected them to bark along with the song when the radio station played a little of the barking dogs’ record ‘Jingle Bells’. He reinforced the idea that radio DJs are the sharpest tool in the shed.
