Need a job, call Buc-Cee’s… Highest wages we’ve seen…

Buc-ee’s is a chain of country stores and gas stations with locations in Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee. They have a cult following among consumers.

Buc-ee’s is not just any convenience store. They’re loved by the locals and people passing through. They have all the fuel you need: beaver nuggets (caramel popcorn), Texas-style brisket sandwiches, tons of fresh jerky, kolaches, drinks and of course gas pumps galore. And you can browse the collection of t-shirts, hats, blankets, mugs — you name it — all emblazoned with Buc-ee the Beaver.

And about those bathrooms. They’ve been named the cleanest in America. Texas Monthly reported that the 56,000-square-foot Bastrop location has 71 toilets and a team whose only job is to clean them 24 hours a day.

Nothing better than their brisket sandwiches…but their beef jerk is is a close second. Cleanest bathrooms on the planet.

Now you’re making me feel slighted. Our new Buc-ee’s (less than a year old) doesn’t have a car wash.

I want a car wash!

And I’m thinking besides managing people, the car wash manager probably has to have decent electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.

According to Buc-ee's website, there are now 35 Buc-ee's open
in the state of Texas, two in Alabama, two in Florida, two in
Georgia, one in Kentucky and now one in South Carolina.

When traveling they are a great place to stop. Clean stores,
restrooms, etc. Everything from trinkets, food, souverniers, etc.

Whatever you do, DON’T eat the hot candied pecans!!

They are addictive. And, you can’t escape the smell when you walk into the story.

Buc-ees is incredible.

Their first store was in Lake Jackson, Texas, very near my home town. The “Bucs” is short for the local football team, ‘Buccaneers’.

The first store was just a little larger than a standard 7/11. Each new store grew bigger and bigger.

Ditto the everything bagel seasoned cashews, minus the smell part.

Went to my first one on the way to Asheville in August. Could not believe it. Huge! My brother who delivers trucks all over the country loves getting a meal there. I was surprised that they have no benches or chairs outside for people to eat/relax.

I got a brisket sandwich & it was candy sweet. I love the place because they have everything. I’m going to try a different sandwich next time. Cleanest bathrooms ever.

Saw my very first Buc-ee’s this year, last April, leaving Dallas. It’s the Disneyland of truck stops! Heck, you could do your entire Christmas shopping there!

WE stopped at a Buc-ee’s on the way home from a Thanksgiving trip last week.

My first thought was “this is Wal-Mart without the drunk guy wearing a tutu.”

I stand by my thought, but, it WAS easy to get in and out for gas...which was cheap.

I like the brisket, my wife gets the pulled pork. Son likes the roast beef (cold sandwich).

Pro tip - if you’re eating outside (good weather) vs. in your car, standing around one of the small shopping carts makes a good stand up impromptu table.

Oh, and that was likely “mine”. Calhoun, GA?

Or one of the ones in TN?

The other complaint is with all the food they sell there are zero places to sit down and eat. Nothing, inside or out. When you’ve been behind the wheel for 8 hours and it’s 105 outside I don’t want to eat in my car.

And they will tell you that they're a convenience store/gas station, not a restaurant. Just a lot bigger.

If I buy a hot dog off one of those roller things, I can't sit down and eat it at my local Circle K or 7-11 either.

I agree with CA soon gone. It’s a neat place, but not only is there no where to sit down to eat, there are so many places to get something to eat. Sheetz gas stations have always had awesome MTO kiosks, everything you could possibly want is ordered right there, you don’t have to walk around comparing different food counters and offers, etc. It a cheap date 45 minutes away for the kids to do at midnight, but you have to go sit in your car. It’s nice to just stretch your legs a little inside, while waiting or eating your food. Cool place, pays well, clean restrooms are well worth it, but i still don’t get it. They advertise on bill boards on the interstate 250 miles ahead of their locations. Like who can wait that long for gas or a potty, funny to me.

To people unfamiliar with Buc-ee’s, I say they’re like QuikTrip and Cracker Barrel had a baby on steroids, only without tables/table service.

What’s THAT job worth? They don’t say. $200K a year? LOL!

Buc-ee looks like every goober in perverts row at the strip club. They do have good brisket sandwiches, though.
