Historically, once a country is on a path to socialism, it is very nearly impossible to turn it around. It also takes upwards of 100 years to work socialism out of society.
This is where, I believe, America is now heading. The liberals have managed to create a voting system that almost ensures an electoral win every single time and I don't think America can recover.
So I have a suggestion. In the event that America really is done, as we all knew her, I suggest that each of you start gathering documentation of America's founding and the Founding Fathers and everything about America, including the educational materials like math and science and English and civics and everything.
I do not doubt that, once the communists have taken control of Congress, they will make what is in the archives disappear. They may even openly burn the Archives, because they have so much contempt and hatred for America.
In the event that the day should come and we can start working socialism out of America, this information will be like gold. I'd even suggest signing books out of your public libraries and "losing" them and giving the libraries the replacement costs for the books, just so you have a record of something.
I do believe that America falling into socialism is a necessary step just before the coming of the Messiah, but if the Messiah is not coming for hundreds of years, we will say, then we need something to build upon once this madness has passed from the American people.

To: Flick Lives: You’re missing the point. Libraries have for decades already been decommissioning (weeding) books that don’t fit the woke narratives and will continue to do that with more and more titles and categories of the written word. My understanding of Jonty 30’s post is that it is an appeal that the few older library books left in libraries, with history, religion, philosophy, morals, etc. in libraries be saved.

People have been betting against the United States of America since at least, 1776 and some pretty big bets too. They have all gone home losers. We are not done by a long chalk. We may need another civil war to straighten things out, but we are by no means done.

Normalcy bias can be deadly. Even many (not all) conservative Christians, from church, laugh at me and others, who try to tell them something is dreadfully wrong.
My buddy lives in Tyler, Tx, and goes to the same church, that Congressman Louie Gohmert goes to, tells me the same thing, that most of the people going to his church, laugh at him too. Normalcy bias is running rampant.
I agree with most of this thread. There were some comments made about Canada’s electoral system that need to be clarified though.
The population of each federal riding (similar to congressional district) electing MPs to parliament is often higher in the small-area urban ridings than the sprawling hinterland rural ridings. A rough guide would be that urban ridings have about 120,000 people in them and rural ridings between 50,000 and 100,000 in most cases. The same is true for provincial ridings (which are not always identical to federal ones).
Three other provisions in the constitution water down the population of outlying areas even more. Prince Edward Island is guaranteed four seats (out of 338) in parliament, the population there is barely sufficient to deserve one seat. The three territories, Yukon, NWT and Nunavut, all have one MP, but their population in total is about that of the average southern riding.
It’s almost the same disparity for large sparsely-populated ridings in northern parts of the ten provinces. One example would be Labrador, the mainland portion of the province of Newfoundland & Labrador; it has fewer people than any other riding outside of PEI or the three territories.
I think you might find similar population distributions in U.S. congressional districts but of course if you count dead and fictitious voters then the cities really move ahead fast.
We don’t have voting machines in Canada and there is no widespread suspicion or allegation of electoral fraud. The sad fact is that Canadians voted for a globalist regime fair and square. That’s the end game for the U.S., I suppose.
Even so, there are a lot of anti-globalists in Canada. I don’t think it reaches the proportions of some regions of the U.S. but it is probably on a par with New England or the Pacific Northwest. A constitution can guarantee rights but it’s the spirit of the people which is a more powerful guarantee, the old Soviet constitution said some things too, not many of them were ever honored by their governments.
It's very important to establish, early on, a strictly consistent naming convention. Begin with the era: "195x_xx_xx" if you know only that it was in the 1950s. "1959_12_24" if you know that it was taken on Christmas Eve in 1959. Then list (in order of age) the names of the persons appearing in the photo: Last name first, first name last, middle initial. Etc.
Of course, this yields very long file names, like 1959_12_24_SMITH_John_wife_Alice_JONES_Alfred_dog_Rover_Springfield.jpg.
But future historians and archivists will thank you for it! (Actually, you'll find that you, yourself, will also be able to more quickly search for specific photos this way!)

The solution is to go to the "Book Sales" which libraries routinely hold.
The declared purpose of these sales is to get rid of supernumerary titles, but what you will actually find is all manner of literary treasures that are being "weeded out."
You can buy them for pennies on the dollar.
