n this day in history, Nov. 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy — the 35th president of the United States — was assassinated while riding in an open-car motorcade in downtown Dallas, Texas.
The shocking event of 59 years ago happened near the end of JFK's third year as president.
Riding in the same car as Kennedy and first lady Jacqueline Kennedy was Texas Gov. John B. Connally, as well as Connally's wife, Nellie Connally.
That same day, the suspect in the shooting, Lee Harvey Oswald, was arrested. Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson was sworn in as president that day as well as the stunned nation absorbed the blow of so suddenly and violently losing its elected president.

My mom said similar things. She and my dad were not fans.
The abandoning of the Cubans was the big thing. Everything else might have been a mistake but that was cold blooded evil.
And there was no advantage to it.
He just wanted the USSR to have a base off our coast.
Change my mind.
Not a fan, but given how terrible the 60s (all of their aftereffects) turned out, things would likely have been better had he lived. It’s like his skull was the Pandora’s Box - once it was blown open, all the furies of the 60s rushed out.
There was no TV in those days. Politicians weren't required to be media stars or to seduce the public with an attractive image. People didn't see and hear the president every week.
Conspiracy theories seem to come and go like waves. JFK conspiracy theories took off in the Seventies when people had learned not to trust the government. In the Nineties they were receding: the theories were too crazy and evidence was against them. Now, after all that's happened in the last seven years, it's easier again to believe that the government and other political actors are capable of anything.
Was JFK decorated for combat heroism, what medal was it and why don’t people know which medal it was since they have made many movies and written many books on his wartime heroism and have convinced most of America he was one of our greatest WWII heroes?
John Connally is mentioned, what was his military record, how about the other 3 men of the 1960 election?
“Connally served in the United States Navy during World War II, first as an aide to James V. Forrestal. Subsequently he was on General Dwight D. Eisenhower’s staff for planning the North African campaign. After transferring to the South Pacific Theater, he served as fighter-plane director aboard the aircraft carrier USS Essex and was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery. After being transferred to the USS Bennington, he was awarded the Legion of Merit. He was discharged in 1946 at the rank of lieutenant commander.”
The other 3 of the 1960 election:
Navy commander Richard Nixon with quite an impressive record and awards, Silver Star awardee Lieutenant Commander LBJ, Henry Cabot Lodge Jr captured a German patrol single handily and retired as a Reserve Major General.
President Nixon was replaced by highly respected Lieutenant Commander Gerald Ford.
How did the media turn JFK into one of the icons of WWII heroism?
Electing Eisenhower’s vice president would have made an incredible difference, and America would have survived and would be totally different (in 1960 even Nixon was a very different man).
Imagine no Vietnam, no 1960s era dominated by Vietnam and the draft and resistance, no Kennedy assassinations, no unionizing of government employees, NO 1965 IMMIGRATION ACT that led to the end of America.
No Watergate, no Bay of Pigs, a President Reagan in 1968 without any Bush dynasty being created, no LBJ, no Goldwater debacle, no creation of Ted Kennedy the Senatorial Giant.
Imagine America without this immigration that killed it and no 1960s.

Spent a day at Dealy Plaza and still collecting books on the subject.

The Deep State continues unabated.
For those of us old enough to remember, a day that shook the world.
Notice how the Deep State crimes have a “signature” throughout history.
—”We will never figure out what happened.”
—”There are all those crazy conspiracy theorists out there.”
—”Lone nut” or “suicide”
—Zero serious investigation by mass media
An old (former) poster here (DC Dave) summarized the “tricks and tips” the intelligence community uses to cover up their crimes:

It’s is a little strange that we are still talking about something that happened almost 60 years ago, while the 5 year anniversary of the Las Vegas mass shooting came and went last month with no publicity and no answers about what the shooter’s motivation was. No answers on Jeffrey Epstein either. And of course — the elections.
By the CIA.
Just imagine what would happen if all the mass media investigations of one man over the last few years (Donald Trump) had been redirected towards investigating anything else—dozens of major criminal conspiracies would be cracked wide open....
You would almost think the misdirection was intentional...
;-)
Thanks!
There is a LONG (very long, 3+ hours) documentary that goes into this and a few related Deep State things. The beginning of the vid is a good intro to the murder, and then it goes back into detailed explanation starting in the early 1900's.
Victim of Communism.

They didn’t shoot enough Kennedys.
I remember my mother crying and talking with other neighborhood women who were all upset.
I agree.
