Angels to God as Bagster fights a near death event:
“Ahh….yeah. Lord we know he doesn’t belong in the other place, but we’re not quite sure there’s a place ready for him up here just yet. Can you buy us some more time??”
God: “Well, it is an amusing rest watching him give Satan hell!”
Paraphrased but believed accurate…
Nuclear has always been the best option to transition to.
What the public doesn’t naturally recognize is that nuclear power moves the greatest Navy on the face of the earth, both submarines and carriers stay at sea for years with no upsets.
Even if the impossible happens and they are hit and sunk, the result will not be a 3-Mile or Chernobyl. The local environment will be relatively unharmed.
Funny how the activist public thinks that Navy nuclear generators are safe while believing the same technology is completely unsafe near their neighborhoods.
Nope - real trains. There’s a spot in Berea, Ohio, where the Norfolk Southern and CSX railroad mainlines run parallel - even a seldom-used crossover track there. Train watchers are almost always there. We saw 5 or 6 trains in the short time we were there - including one long coal train, and a train full of tanker cars.
He has the advantage of having the Wheeling & Lake Erie railroad tracks near his home and he gets a lot of railroad stuff going there.
I have no real tips on model railroading, other than N gauge is, by far, the most space-efficient, since it’s the smallest. I have a modest collection of Lionel train stuff, mostly packed away in storage. I don’t know where I would go to purchase railroad stuff, but it is still out there.
Welcome back to the trenches, sirrah.
No coons. No fence. Maybe an opossum.
Why can’t she post links from a cell phone? I post links from a cell phone all the time.

I was wondering that..... Copy and paste.
I have lived practically under the cooling towers of Watts Barr nuclear plant on the Tennessee River for almost 40 years without incident but I still keep a “bug out bag” put together for us and the dogs in case of an evacuation. The only part I find creepy is being outside when the sirens are being tested.
Using the existing shore to ship power capability, the submarine can power 1500 nominal homes: more of a town than a small city.

It takes a village to raise a child.
It take a submarine to power a village.
The idea of small municipal power plants has been floated around the UK for almost 2 decades.

That looks more like a thin fabric “inset” to hold all that lace in place. Very common now in formal wear for women, or for ice skaters.
It’s a chemise.
It’s not a mask, it’s a camisole or other undergarment
See my post just before yours.
I was answering thinden’s query about the whereabouts of Gina Haspel.
I thought it was snarky and funny.
Welcome back, Baggie.
