Nuclear has always been the best option to transition to.
What the public doesn’t naturally recognize is that nuclear power moves the greatest Navy on the face of the earth, both submarines and carriers stay at sea for years with no upsets.
Even if the impossible happens and they are hit and sunk, the result will not be a 3-Mile or Chernobyl. The local environment will be relatively unharmed.
Funny how the activist public thinks that Navy nuclear generators are safe while believing the same technology is completely unsafe near their neighborhoods.
I have lived practically under the cooling towers of Watts Barr nuclear plant on the Tennessee River for almost 40 years without incident but I still keep a “bug out bag” put together for us and the dogs in case of an evacuation. The only part I find creepy is being outside when the sirens are being tested.
