As Duke of Cornwall, Charles was already a billionaire. The massive Cornwall estate (a lot of it is in Cornwall, but it's spread over the country) passes to his son, and Charles takes over the even larger royal estate..

The Duchy of Cornwall has 135,000 acres of land spanning 23 English counties. The Duchy belongs to the Prince of Wales, but His Royal Highness doesn’t own it in the classic sense as its capital assets are kept in trust for the nation.

...

The Crown Estate totals 360,000 acres, but while it belongs to the reigning monarch, the estate cannot be sold by the Queen and is not considered her private property. The holding includes high value parts of London and colossal tracts of agricultural land.

The Duke of Westminster is also a massive landowner, as are some Scottish dukes, but the Scottish lands don't bring in as much money as the English. Much more here.

If I invested into the stocks and I had a 4% average growth every year for 300 years, I will have about 128,000% of my original principle. As long as I have been a reasonably reliable investor, I’m likely to have millions percent of the totality of the original principles I invested.

They must have been advised to get in on the ground floor of the London and possibly New York stock exchange when they first opened or sometime soon after.

Corruption is a routine way of life among Democrats. Recently, after the lapse of a prescribed number of years, the Truman library opened the papers of Bess Truman to scholars.

The papers were found to include the long missing joint income tax filings of Bess and Harry -- and what a tale they told. There were all sorts of irregularities in unreported assets and income. Harry and Bess even pocketed much of the Presidential expense allowance -- while Harry was complaining that it was inadequate and that he was going out of pocket. Congress dutifully raised the allowance.

As bad as Biden is, Lyndon Johnson was much worse, with numerous corrupt schemes that enriched him and his family. There is even a story to the effect that he had a hit man on call and arranged the murder of a Department of Agriculture investigator who had obtained proof linking Johnson to the massive Billie Sol Estes fraud. And Johnson has even been fingered as setting the murder of JFK into motion and orchestrating a cover up via the Warren Commission.

Jack Kennedy was also a crook. While President, he ran into a cash crunch due to high spending on his compulsive catting around and Jackie's expensive lifestyle. In order to raise cash, Kennedy shook down lobbyists and old political friends. One of them discussed going to the Kennedy compound at Hyannisport to deliver a briefcase full of cash. Kennedy accepted it without a word of thanks and tossed it into a closet full of such briefcases.

Legally he was king the moment his mother died. That's the moment of succession. These other events are basically celebrations of that.

“His mother became queen early in life because her mother stepped aside.”

No, just no.
The crown runs through the bloodline, Elizabeth inherited the crown when her father, King George VI, died in 1952. Her mother COULDN’T have carried on as Queen. Her mother, previously known as the Queen Consort, became known as the Queen Mother.

When Elizabeth took the throne after her father’s death her husband, Prince Philip became known as the Prince Consort.
When King Charles assumes the throne Camila will become Queen Consort.

The whole Consort thing is showing that the person carrying that title is outside the Royal Bloodline and can not inherit the throne.

“Whereupon Charles’s mother clung to the title, long past when she should have stepped aside for him.”

Better Elizabeth than Charles in my book.
But give Charles a chance, he may surprise us, or not. But he definitely deserves a chance.

As Charles, and his family, pretend to be exalted think of where all of that wealth came from over the centuries. Who actually worked for those assets?

“glad to see some real, tradition, favorable toward a Western country and see a people who take pride in their nation, and I enjoyed it.”

You will not enjoy it when they issue the “save the planet” press releases blaming “climate change” on you while they live in luxury.

Most of it is entailed property. It belongs to the crown but cannot be sold. Each monarch is allowed to use the profits during their lifetime.

My understanding is that Balmoral and Sandringham are owned by the royal family - private property. The rest of the stuff I’m not so sure. Windsor castle was her primary residence, but I think that is owned by the state.

You forget how many of them are complete wastrels. Not to mention how expensive it is to staff all those properties. Blowing through money ain’t that hard, especially you don’t actually do anything.

The world during Charles I & II were very tumultuous times. III seems to be keeping the streak going.

You do have an obsession with the "inbred" part. I doubt they're as inbred as you imagine. Throughout most of human history, most people lived their entire lives in the same small village, marrying each other, whereas royals interbred with foreign royals. So perhaps royals are less inbred that commoners?

I'm of the camp that "Shy Di" was far more devious and manipulative than the image she carefully cultivated. She presented a false image of herself to Charles as a naive naif, then created a false image as "a woman of the people" which she weaponized against Charles and the family.

Charles cheated with Camilla. Diana cheated with a roster of lovers.

State sponsored theft. Why does someone get $27 billion just because of their blood line?
