EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

Oh, Nully, that is just too clever and funny for so early in the morning!! LOL!
I love it!
I’m putting it in the mail this morning on my way out to a day of archery range with Vlad.
Wonderful! Then I’ll look for it on Monday or Tuesday!
Archery. Hmmm. Something to think about.
What a wonderful little floof, with those smoky ears!
Good morning.
I hope you had a good night.
I set the alarm for 0500 so I wouldn’t have to rush but forgot to shut off the original 0600 Saturday alarm. Good thing. I fell back to sleep and the second alarm woke me up.
The Other Folks now have some gorgeous gray-ish quartz counter tops and back splashes, and though I would love to see them in person, I have a hunch I won’t be going to dine with them tonight. The cute little house that FS bought so many years ago has become something else again, and I don’t feel comfortable there.
The Foursies have taken over the lead, now. They’re at 72 with today’s game. The Fivers are behind with 56.

The Triplets are at 43 and Half-Twelves are 23. Three Doubles and no Singles. Only a 93% win-rate. *sigh*
w00t!
Good Saturday Morning!
It was a “Phew” 6/6 for me today... just a matter of the luck not running out before the rows...

Good morning! Happy Saturday! I hope everybody has a great autumn weekend.
Not going to the farmers market this morning because the Iron Man competition is going on downtown and I think the streets will be βcrowdy.β (One of my Iraqi vendors used that phrase about the streets whenever he was going to be a little late delivering items to the laydown yard inside the base gate.)
Managed a three.

Nice work on the three spot!

(Seeing some chilly overnight temps this coming week!)
Yep - and maybe even some wet stuff tomorrow and Monday. (please, please, pleaseβ¦)
One weather source even has upper 30s as the low Tuesday morning. π±
But you made it!! Good job!!
Did you age a few years as the lines disappeared? ;o]
I went to a craft get together with my DiL, at the church, and etched a small pie plate with the symbol for Pi on it, and a larger clear blue one with “easy as pie.”
Then I did a slice of pine limb tree ornament with a silhouette of the Nativity on it with a sparkly little gold star and will thread it with gold cord. THEN! I did a 12”X12” beige tile that says, “Bless the food before us, the family beside us, & the love between us, Amen.” I was pretty “chuffed” as they say in GB!! They all turned out well. Even the blue pie plate which was mostly done as a test.
It was fun until I started to hurt so much. DiL wanted to stay and decorate cookies, but I was ready to leave. There was still an hour and a half of time that could have been used up, and one more decoration I wanted to do but didn’t sign up for, so we came home.
Excellent job!
I like the term “crowdy” and will probably find myself using it in the future!
I hope your Saturday has been a good one.
“Safe travels.”
Thanks.
Apart from air miles, I’ll be logging almost 1,300 miles on the ground.
Sounds like your craft activity went well. I hope you feel okay tomorrow.
It was a nice day for archery. No disasters, children were tolerable. I bought Vlad a hamburger and fries at a little joint in a shipping container called “Hot Mess Burgers.” He liked it. It’s been there maybe three years; I know I’ve taken him there before when we had a lunch break during camp.
My feet hurt. I will go to bed soon.
I’ll send you photos in the morning when I’m sure you’re up.
I’m not doing all that well tonight, but tomorrow is another day.
Sleep well, and I’ll see you then!
I took a picture of a pretty car at the burger place where I bought lunch for Vlad. I’ll send it to you tomorrow.
I love dat face!!
Good morning.
I hope you slept well and that your feet feel better.
We’ve had thunderstorms all night and they will continue for the entire day. The temps will begin to drop tonight and by Tuesday, we will have a low of 27Β° and a high of 54Fs. Monday and Wednesday, the highs will be in the low 60s and the lows in the low 40s. I’m washing my winter coat tomorrow!
I’m at that stage where I don’t feel too bad, but I know if I go to church, I’ll have a minor relapse by the end of the week. So I’ll be keeping my tired self home today.
Good morning all!
I second-guessed myself on Line 4 and that gave me Line 5. GAH!
