You would have loved Whiting Field near Pensacola. After a night flight heading back to your car you feel like you are being followed. Your headlights confirm it when you see thousands of roaches pouring out of the sewers.
Just a quick update on my sweetheart Kenny. We are traveling to Houston Texas in a couple weeks to see a specialist named Dr. Ken McClain. He runs the Langerhans cell histiocytosis research program at Houston children’s hospital. Kenny has been diagnosed with Langerhans cell histiocytosis, a rare cancer.
We think he has Red Skin Syndrome caused by prescription steroids-both topical, oral and injection. To protect him from a misdiagnosis we are also setting up a telemed appointment with Dr. Marvin Rapaport. He is a dermatologist who actually treats Topical Steroid Withdrawal and acknowledges that it exists. It seems a lot of people going through this get misdiagnosed with cancer.
Doctors hand out steroids like they are candy so they don’t like to admit they can cause this. This is my PSA, be extremely careful if you are prescribed steroids. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. It is like having a chemical burn over and over again.

He gives a great description of the condition. Prayers are appreciated as we try to keep Kenny healthy enough to travel and seek appropriate medical care. He was hospitalized twice in April with Staph in his blood.

Could that be a surgical strike directed at the fenced-in portion of DC?
Given proper public evidence, the MIL moving into these specific targets could make sense.
The optics would be equivalent to the taking of Atlanta, GA and The Confederacy’s top-brass surrendering.

Thanks for the heads up. With all that I have heard about this production, I had mostly decided to skip it.
JRR Tolkien was not happy with the Rankin/Bass animated effort in the 70's; for one thing he felt elves were terribly misrepresented. Apparently the Tolkien estate was satisfied with the Peter Jackson trilogy in spite of some notable changes.
The Tolkien estate is quite jealous of its copyrights. With my Dictionary they were super picky so that I finally posted it open on the web.
Yet they allowed Peter Jackson to expand 'The Hobbit' into a meaningless misrepresentation with three films, loosely based on a charming children's fantasy book, an early Tolkien release with a dim eye aimed at his master work, The LOTR.
From all I have heard about the Amazon production, I have to presume that the Tolkien folks are simply given over to money. It seems sad in light of the fact that LOTR was a lifetime opus of a brilliant fantasy writer and experienced linguist. Even while serving in WWI (that's 'One'), Tolkien was working on thousands of years of Middle Earth history and at least four major languages. It is an incredible effort.
Will commercial temptations and on going incomes drive LOTR to mediocrity? 😕
What do you mean by “DC removed?” The leadership or the whole city?
Re: flying roaches - we rented an open air cottage on Jost Van Dyke many years ago. It was directly over the water and the bed had mosquito netting because at night, the little green roaches would fly around.
We haven’t been back.
I liked 60% of Jackson’s work on LOTR and 40% of it on The Hobbit.
I presume I will like 20% of this new effort.
