Fighting tumors through sugar deprivation (Glioblastoma cure from standard “contrast” agent, 5-ALA)
Medical Xpress / Oslo University Hospital / Cancers ^ | August 22, 2022 | Mantas Grigalavicius et al

Brain tumor glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is a disease for which 30% of adults diagnosed survive one year after diagnosis, and only 3% of patients live longer than five years.

GBM surgery is assisted by the use of fluorescent photosensitiser (PS) drugs. One such PS is Protoporphyrin IX (PpIX), a metadrug of exogenously administered 5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA). PpIX can precisely guide GBM resection as its prodrug 5-ALA very specifically accumulates in GBM lesions due to structural and functional differences in the vicinity of the GBM tumors.

Scientists have found that apart from being a photosensitive drug, 5-ALA is also a potent inhibitor of the glycolytic enzyme lactate dehydrogenase (LDH). This is a very important finding since most tumor cells draw energy from glycolysis, or the breakdown of glucose, in contrast to healthy cells. Interrupting the glycolysis in cancer cells can force them to die as they are unable to cover their energy needs from other sources. This is a well-established approach in cancer therapy, and LDH has been identified as a target in many anticancer strategies.

The advantage of 5-ALA as an inhibitor of LDH, and consequently of glycolysis, is that it specifically accumulates in GBM tumors. Hence the disruption of the "sugar" breakdown in GBM cells that can lead to their demise. This development opens avenues for other types of cancer.

Dr. Theodossis Theodossiou said, "The fact that 5-ALA is approved for the detection of malignant gliomas and GBM makes our findings more valuable and easier to apply in the clinic. For detection purposes, 5-ALA is only applied to patients for a few hours, which is not enough to kill the cancer cells by glycolysis disruption. However, prolonged administration for one or several days could lead to surprising, even curative results, in a disease which is currently incurable and lethal."

Somewhere in the introduction there was mention of glucose metabolism and not allowing it could kill this cancer. I am concerned that my partner who now has prostate cancer is eating too much sugar in the various foods he is eating. I try to convince him to stop, but he doesn’t. I was hoping I could encourage him to try the very low carb phase of the Atkins Diet which has been very effective when I have wanted to drop some pounds. I know my toenail fungus went away after a couple of months on very low carb. He also has toenail fungus that is NOT going away. Is there any research out there about low sugar and cancer treatment?

Read and listen to the series, “The Truth About Cancer.” This information, I think, was presented in that series.

I guess the cancer stem cells die and are absorbed in the body. The fenbendazole does not affect healthy cell.

Fenbendazole is actually a dog dewormer that was found to have anti-cancer properties many years ago. There is a lot of research available online. You can get a human grade version on Amazon as a “food supplement”, 90 pills for under $60.

Sounds a lot like Ivermectin — also a de-wormer although invented for humans. When people began to take if for Covid there were reports that it was helping cancer patients. The cancer factor is probably why it was banned. Big pharma loves cancer.

Have you seen or heard reports that this might help with Covid?

One of the better habits I've developed is maintaining a personal wiki to capture information on a wide range of topics. This discussion, particularly with regard to fenbendazole, will definitely be going into my Wiki for future reference.

I'm in the process of eliminating all sugar from my diet.

For those who are technically inclined, I'm using Dokuwiki for my personal wiki, with an extension that allows me to optionally enter pages in Markdown syntax. If one has Docker Desktop running locally, it's easy to download and run it as a local Linux container running under Windows.

"Caner is just Big Business and they Medical Cartels do not really want any real answer or cures, or treatments because it would put a lot of people out of work and depress the profits of Big Pharma."

By golly, I think you may be on to something there...

Nowadays I trust the America Dairy Association one heck of a lot more than the America Medical Association...

if the glucose isn’t processed, what becomes of it?

Most likely I would think, stored as fat as insulin rises and stores it. Then the fat is metabolized by healthy cells for energy.

I have not seen anything about covid. Since covid is a virus and they don’t feed on sugar, I am not sure the same mechanism works.

There is a lot of fenbendazole information online. Once you start looking, you see it all over.

Sugar in some form is in everything processed, even food that has no real use for it. Plus, as far as your body is concerned lots of food you don’t call sugar is just that. I have seen lots of people think they are avoiding sugar while eating bread or some such. And lots of food labeled “sugar free” is an outright fraud.

Pulling off a true carb free diet is no small feat when even ranch dressing has sugar added.

“fenbendazole” ?

A canine dewormer...

God bless her.
So glad it worked for her. How did you arrive at the Tumeric & fenbendazole combination?

There is a treatment defined online. It also included Vitamin E, which conflicted with the Temodar and CBD oil which we could not find a compelling reason to take.
