He was the “king of revenge porn” — until his shocked and fed-up victims took him down.
The “king” in question is Hunter Moore, the founder of the now-defunct revenge porn website IsAnyoneUp.com and whose horrific enterprise is examined — along with his victims’ desperate fight for justice — in a new three-part Netflix documentary, “The Most Hated Man on the Internet.”
Moore, 36, created the site in 2010 and it allowed people allegedly hurt by relationships to post anonymous NSFW sexual content without the consent of their partners.
“Me and my friends would post [photos of] a bunch of girls, and I was like, ‘Yo, I can make money of f–kin’ people over,'” he says in archival footage featured in the trailer.
One interviewee in the series noted she received over 200 notifications that her photo was posted and another recalled persistently asking Moore to delete images of her.
“The response that I got [from him was]: ‘LOL,'” the subject says.
Charlotte Laws and her daughter Kayla — the latter falling victim to the site in 2012 when she was 24 — were interviewed in the doc about their scary experiences with Moore...

well, no personal responsibility is also a leftist trait.
Look, you take and save all the naked photos you want- more power to you. But in this day and age, don’t cry if anybody sees them, cause they might.
Did you ask him why he was complaining?
Polaroids can be scanned. Dr. Laura’s picture did make it to the internet.
I have an idea. Don’t take pics of yourself Butt Nekkid or allow anybody else to. That way you can never be harmed by revenge porn.
It’s so ironic to see the fascist tendencies of the Left. It would be funny if the consequences were not so dire. The battle between order/self discipline and chaos/self indulgence has been with the species for millennia.
boomer here and very private. But i’m not a woodstock boomer- 2 young.
there are folks here that do it too, talk about hot pants wife/gf and bj’s,ect. No common sense. TMI.
Wifey g/f may not like that you’re sharing.
oh good for you!!!!
Really.
Completely agree, and I didn’t say that it was. He is entirely responsible for the evil of his own decisions.
Not to mention porn is now accepted by many to be placed into shows marketed as mainstream entertainment - the population has been desensitized to it. Some making excuses that it isn’t “real” porn because it supposedly has good acting and a good story.
No defense for the hacking but why did she take them if not to show others? To look at herself?
Doing something like that is asking for trouble - shows bad judgment to begin with and can ruin your life either from you doing something on accident or a bad actor finding and distributing something that shouldn’t exist.
Why would this cross the mind of any clear thinking person to do in the first place?
Or videos. Especially if the content is on the phone of your ex.
Don’t see men complain about an ex girlfriend if she posted him. They probably consider it advertising! LOL
He got sued for not paying income taxes. That’s all.
Considering all of the men these days who somehow think it’s clever to photograph their junk, you’re probably right.
(I doubt most would do any of this in the days when you had to take your film to the Fotomat...)
Use a Polaroid! Ha
Or let anyone else do it.
I do have a few pictures of me that I would rather not see on the front page of a newspaper but I am fully clothed in all of them.
Do not get the obsession people have with taking pictures with everything hanging out.
I guess that’s what they did, back then; but I bet there were far fewer of them. We weren’t as sex-obsessed and narcissistic then.
A former coworker was a professional porn watcher. He got hired by the Russian mob to run a porn site after he got out of prison. He would go to other porn sites all day and steal material or watch new videos so he could make recommends to the people paying him. He watched porn for 10-12 hours a day. He said it was a) boring and repetitive with occasional interesting gimmicks that he would steal and b) there was quite a bit of data analysis where they tried to track what was popular. Luckily he had been a programmer. He said it was soul-numbing but better than prison.
“Why would this cross the mind of any clear thinking person to do in the first place?”
I think you just answered you own question my friend.
Only in private!!
My dad once said “ we were doing the same things but just didn’t talk about it”
I remember in some states you could be charged for indecency using a Fotomat type place.
Now only if the you take cute little pics of your baby’s butt.
