The House passed a bipartisan bill Monday that makes it a federal crime to post real and fake sexually explicit imagery online of a person without their consent, sending the legislation that was backed by first lady Melania Trump to the president's desk. The bill, known as the "Take It Down Act," cleared the lower chamber in a 409-2 vote. The two "no" votes came from Republicans. The Senate unanimously passed the measure in February. The legislation requires social media companies and other websites to remove images and videos, including deepfakes generated by artificial intelligence, within 48 hours after a...

A naked selfie of Joe Biden's brother Frank has been discovered on a gay porn site. The photo was uploaded to GuysWithiPhones.com in 2018, when Frank – who has a long-term female partner Mindy Ward – was 64. *** When approached by DailyMail.com, Frank, 69, conceded he was the man in the photo but denied he was the one who posted it. 'I've absolutely no comment. I could care less. I haven't even looked at it,' Frank said Monday morning when asked about the shot at his Florida home. 'They must have hacked my phone,' he added. 'Anything that is...

A Republican GOP state senator could face criminal charges for revenge porn after sharing explicit images of Hunter Biden on social media. Arizona Senator Wendy Rogers retweeted footage of the First Son to her 300,000 followers on Twitter, which included several X-rated images. Posting online, Rogers – a staunch advocate for former President Trump - said: 'It's all here in black and white. Oh, and apparently in NBC living color.' She has since removed the footage and has been warned that her social media post was a 'mistake' by another Republican – who claims she didn't realize the images were...

Women are facing threats and blackmail from a mob of anonymous strangers after their personal details, intimate photos and videos were shared on the social media platform Reddit. The BBC has unmasked the man behind one of the groups, thanks to a second-hand cigarette lighter. "£5 for her nudes, DM me." "I've got some of her vids looking to trade." "What are we gonna do to her?" I felt sick as I scrolled through the images and comments online. There were thousands of photographs. A seemingly endless stream of naked or partially dressed women. Underneath, men were posting vicious commentary...

He was the “king of revenge porn” — until his shocked and fed-up victims took him down. The “king” in question is Hunter Moore, the founder of the now-defunct revenge porn website IsAnyoneUp.com and whose horrific enterprise is examined — along with his victims’ desperate fight for justice — in a new three-part Netflix documentary, “The Most Hated Man on the Internet.” Moore, 36, created the site in 2010 and it allowed people allegedly hurt by relationships to post anonymous NSFW sexual content without the consent of their partners. “Me and my friends would post [photos of] a bunch of...

Former SoCal Congresswoman Katie Hill has been dealt another blow in her lawsuit against her ex-husband and two media companies for publishing nude photos of her without her consent. On Wednesday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Yolanda Orozco ordered Hill to pay British tabloid the Daily Mail $103,625 in attorneys’ fees and $1,120 in costs, the Daily News reports. This follows Orzoco’s April ruling to dismiss the Mail as a defendant in the case, in which Hill sued the paper along with ex-husband Kenny Heslep and conservative media outlet RedState, arguing that publishing the compromising photos—allegedly provided by Heslep—constituted “revenge...

Nude images of Katie Hill were in the “public interest” when they were published by The Daily Mail — a Los Angeles judge ruled on Wednesday, in dismissing the ex-congresswoman’s lawsuit against the media outlet. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Yolanda Orozco said the photos spoke to Hill’s “character” and “qualifications” for office, which she left in October 2019, less than one year into her first term, according to a ruling obtained by The Los Angeles Daily News. The Mail’s website published the pics days before the California Democrat resigned amid intense scrutiny over her three-way relationship with her husband...

Former Florida data scientist Rebekah Jones was arrested on a charge that she hacked into the state’s emergency response system — and later learned she tested positive for COVID-19. Jones — who said she was fired from the state’s Department of Health in May for refusing to alter coronavirus data — turned herself in late Sunday, the Tampa Bay Times reported. Her attorney, Steve Dobson, said Jones, 31, was tested for COVID-19 after being booked into the Leon County Detention Facility, and learned she was positive on Monday.

Freshman Rep. Katie Hill resigned Thursday in the wake of multiple controversies, including engaging in at least one sexual relationship with a campaign staff member. Conservative website Red State published intimate photos of the California Democrat on Oct. 18 after they were leaked to the site, sparking a debate about inappropriate relationships and “revenge porn.” Hill should not have engaged in a relationship with a subordinate while holding public office, and thus should shoulder the blame for that choice. Nonetheless, there’s little the public can do about her personal choices other than to call for her resignation. There may be...

Reedy and Villegas were involved in an "abusive" relationship, which they recently broke off, Bloom said. The officer took explicit photos of the detective during their relationship, according to the attorney. Once it ended, Bloom said Reedy sent out the photos to several of his "buddies," including a fellow LAPD officer and an LAPD sergeant. Distributing such photos without permission from the person in them, sometimes known as "revenge porn," is...

Kimberly Guilfoyle had been at the center of a human resources investigation at Fox News for a year prior to her departure from the network according to Huff Post,in a bombshell expose. Facebook is asking British users to send naked photos of themselves to the social network, to try to stop revenge porn. If you're worried an intimate photo of you could be shared by someone else, the idea is to get it blocked before it appears online. Similar technology is used to try to stop the spread of child abuse images. Facebook's been testing the system in Australia and is extending the trial to the UK, the USA and Canada. A spokesman told Newsbeat the idea is open to people in the UK now. Facebook hasn't revealed any details about how...

RUSH: So I watched it last night, and Kathryn could not believe — you know, I’m sending her text messages, she’s watching in another room, it’s one of the dogs’ birthdays, and so she’s in there with one of the dogs and I started sending her notes about the interview on 60 Minutes. She said, “You’re watching this? I can’t believe you would waste your time watching this. I want to know what you think about it.” So we were talking about it. And I gotta tell you something, folks. When it was all over, I didn’t feel horny, or...

The White House has denied any affair occurred. “He knows I’m telling the truth,” Daniels said of the president. The adult film star and her lawyer Michael Avenatti have claimed before she has photographic evidence...

An attorney for former Twin Peaks shootout defendant Cody Ledbetter asked a judge on Friday to order the McLennan County District Attorney's Office to recall sexually explicit photos and videos of Ledbetter and his wife that the DA's office distributed to 177 Twin Peaks defendants as part of the discovery process. The DA's office dismissed the criminal case against Ledbetter, a 28-year-old diesel mechanic from Waco with no criminal record, last week, four days before a jury panel was to report to fill out questionnaires and ahead of his April 2 trial date. While Ledbetter said he was relieved to...
