Went to the local change(Coinstar) machine yesterday, and the machine, had on its screen a message, that it could not take anymore coins, because it was full.
Well today, went to the local superstore, and the coin machine had the same message.

I know the interest they charge, is outrageous, but one does pay for convenience.
The Wal-Mart self checkout takes coins. I bring my pennies there when they pile up and pay for my purchases with them. I have to be careful not to go during busy times (e.g. lunch hour) or I get angry glares and rude comments.

I get rolls of quarters at my local bank, sometimes 4 rolls of 20. No big deal.
Those machines are for converting change into credit, not getting change.

I was thinking more along the lines of...
The first time I put my money in I get no change. The guy said the change machine was empty and laughed at me. So I busted up the joint and gave the change machine guy a warning with my right hook.
The second time the change machine was full.
My story is way better...

You must have used the machine after I dumped $50 of pennies into it.

I know what you mean.
Whenever I see a coin on the pavement, I pick it up and put it my pocket.
My roommate calls me a Jew.

Tried it twice....it takes longer to load the machine than count out exact coins needed for a simple transaction...put a pile of coins in one packet.atleast 99 cents in assorted coins. Pay using bills and coins. Don’t need gift cert at store and don’t want to pay 11% for some machine to count. How do I know the machine is accurate?

“How do I know the machine is accurate?”
Probably built by one of those vote counting machine companies.
What could possibly go wrong?

I know the interest they charge, is outrageous, but one does pay for convience. What?! Above and beyond the 11.9% service fee, they charge interest, too?! What's the annual rate?

Ok, it's a service fee, sorry about the nomenclature error.
Still, theses change machines are full, what does that mean?

I’ve never used one of these machines, but the one at my credit union has a much lower fee than the ones I see at grocery stores.

So if all these machines are full, why is there a national coin shortage?

Still, theses change machines are full, what does that mean? Guy who usually empties the machines is out sick.

Use of those machines other than as a one time experiment is to identify yourself as a good future peasant....
