Navy SEAL Commander James Reece turns to vengeance as he investigates the mysterious forces behind the murder of his entire platoon. Free from the military’s command structure, Reece applies the lessons he’s learned from nearly two decades of warfare to hunt down the people responsible.
Will check it out. Thanks.
I thank Chris Pratt for being the executive producer and fine actor in this series. He really showed his bonifides. He’s usually more of a comedy/character actor. I think he showed he has serious acting skills and didn’t put in the woke garbage so prevalent in today’s Hollyweird’s projectile vomit in tv and movies.
I had just finished watching the movie “The Contractor” with Chris Pine when I started this series with Chris Pratt. I’m starting to sense a theme here...
Both were VERY good! I highly recommend them.
Is this based on how the squad that got Osama Bin Laden were forced to take Afghanis they didn't know on their helicopter before it crashed and wiped them all out?
I finished it in a 3-day binge yesterday. Terrific.
You guys have me convinced. Starting it right now
Terminal list was for me ok, but imho the directing and writing are flawed. each episode crawls along in slow motion. if you break it down, there are lots of flashbacks... imho too many flashbacks— that add nothing to what the audience already knows about the protagonist’s character.
it is odd that the series was released as a whole (or nearly so; i watched the first episode on july 1, and the remainder last evening). contrast this with bosch or let’s call saul, which released an episode per week. i think the reason that it was released en masse is because each episode by itself is overly drawn out.
pratt’s acting is rather good imho. however, the sidekick character ben is acted in a manner that imho is too derivative of the acting of keanu reeves.
in contrast i thought jeanne tripplehorn did a reasonably good acting job with the material she was given.
another plus is the photography, which makes extensive use of drones in live action shots. the locations are uniformly spectacular. finally the action sequences were for me very realistic.
i place the ultimate responsibility for the overly slow pace with the producers, which at least nominally includes pratt. let’s hope he chooses better writing/writers in future endeavors.
Through episode 6 and it is really first rate. Best I’ve seen in a long time. Having said that, episode 4 was too gruesome for me, a bit unnecessary so, IMO.
Pratt...The new Tom Clancy.
No but there are some similarities. It did put me in mind of that incident.
I thought the 9 minute and 21 second delay might have been a reference to Benghazi.
I thought the movie might have related to the covid vax - but the book was written in 2018.
At least Jeff is putting out some decent, patriotic stuff, unlike Disney+ woke, LGBTQIA+ filth.
Will watch it,,,Insomniac Spokeshave at 2.40 Am

Book was great!
it is odd that the series was released as a whole
Bezos thanks you
> Dumping the whole season of episodes was a drawing card for early streaming services. You got the entire season without having to wait a week for the next episode. That was a big separator between streaming and network TV.
Cool, and thanks for the insight.
Another nice thing about streaming in general is that it sometimes permits the viewer to fast forward through the overly slow parts of a video stream.
