Fears for Tom Hanks' health as Hollywood megastar appears unable to control his shaking right hand while holding a microphone and speaking to the crowd as he promotes Baz Luhrmann's new Elvis movie

Tom Hanks sparked concern among his fans earlier this month, as he appeared to be struggling to contain the shaking of his arm.

The 65-year-old is in the midst of a promotional whirlwind for Baz Luhrmann's biopic of Elvis, in which Hanks stars as the singer's manager.

Luhrmann, who was born in Sydney, arranged for an Australian premier to be held in the city of Gold Coast, 50 miles south of Brisbane, where the filming took place.

Austin Butler, 30, who stars as The King, was at the June 4 event, along with Hanks.

'There is no better place in the world to make a motion picture than right here on the Gold Coast,' he said, microphone in his right hand, and left hand in his pocket.

Not sure what show you’re referring to.But if by “exposing himself” you’re talking about sex offender registries that doesn’t surprise me at all. I think that you could count all the showbiz stars who lead a lawful, decent, respectable life on one hand...and have a few fingers left over.

I do like a couple of Elvis songs though,

Every time I hear “Burning Love” I can clearly picture Bill Clinton at the microphone.

Doesn’t look like Tom Hanks. Looks like his brother.

“But of course...everyone skips over that in this cancel culture.”

As long as they stay on the reservation.

Slightly off topic, this may be the Last Chance for Elvis to become relevant to people under 40.

His Estate has done an awful job of promoting and highlighting Elvis' music, impact, career, and legacy beyond the silver haired class. I've heard - but cannot confirm - that attendance at Graceland is way down from prior years. If you ask Millenials or GenZers about Elvis, it's most likely that they'll laugh and talk about fat impersonators - and even THAT would be an improvement over "who?"

Frankly, the last attempt I saw to make Elvis relevant to youths was the movie Lilo & Stitch...that kinda worked, but it faded, in part because the Estate had no plan to expand upon that foothold.

A similar situation exists with Frank Zappa, insofar as his late wife Gail did a great job of frittering away his legacy by, among other things, suing tribute bands and festivals. Certainly Zweezil has done more than anyone to keep Frank's legacy of outstanding compositions and musicianship alive. The Zappa Band, largely backed by Ahmet, also does a nice job. Thankfully, Frank appeals to musicians and classical liberals and people of good taste, and his fans are essentially evangelists and have passed along the legacy to their kids. I doubt (fingers crossed) Frank will become irrelevant in 20 years.

However, I can see Elvis becoming a big footnote by 2042...time will tell

He exposed himself while sitting on a couch...playing with himself. It is very difficult to find the clip. He obviously has a team that gets it taken down. Shows up every once in a while on Twitter.

People get canceled for doing that stuff...but Hanks has escaped scrutiny.

No,I never thought you were belittling him in that scene. The scene where “Doc” died was haunting. And watching Horvath’s face when Miller ordered him to give Doc the morphine was particularly haunting.

No kidding. My response was to the post that said that the depiction of a shaking hand was totally understandable, given the horror of the day. He would crap his pants. So would I. A shaking hand would be the LEAST of our worries. Boy, you must have be the valedictorian of your class. You are so much smarter than us mere idiots.

Priscilla deserves credit for making the Elvis estate worth what it was...but when the rights were sold things have gone downhill.

Tina Turner sold her rights off then bought a 78 million dollar house. I think she is probably in her last years so no reason to keep them since her son killed himself

The only thing kids today know about Elvis is that he didn’t share his royalties for Hound Dog with Big Mama Thornton....guess where they get that?

Too bad they don’t realize that the royalty business was different back then...royalties went to the performer, not the writer
