"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.

Chattanooga IS a nice town but there are getting to be too many gangs. It’s mostly Mexicans and blacks from what my husband read today.
No, I don’t blanch anything I freeze everything fresh. It’s not like fresh but it’s not soggy and gross.

Try chopping your peppers small and saute in some olive oil, just enough to coat for about 30 seconds or less. Steam will come out and that is good. Let cool then freeze. I do this with my peppers and they are pretty crunchy. I use most of them in omelettes, pizza or Spanish rice. I freeze in small amounts in inexpensive snack bags with a zip closure. Then put several bags into a quart freezer Ziploc.
What kind of things do you vacuum seal and freeze? (BTW i am a vegetarian...). I only buy ingredients, no pre-made food.

If you can, buy local foods. Right now that would be rhubarb. Just chunk it and freeze it. No blanching. It freezes great and makes wonderful pies or compote. Next up are strawberries. Just hull and freeze with a little sugar. Spring spinach, kale, and swiss chard can be frozen too, but must be blanched.
Holey moley, that’s a lot of canning! You were a very lucky kid. Great dad too. :-)
Oh that is a stock photo but I could wallpaper a wall with photos he took of all his canning over the years. My pantry in under the stairs downstairs, not as big but usually pretty full.
Cauliflower can be cut up an frozen with no other prep. Love that! Cut up Peppers can also be done that way; they might get a little watery though. You can spread them out on a cookie sheet and freeze that way, then put them in a bag to freeze in bulk. Onions will be good that way too. Good luck!
